Not Sorry for the lack of news, we're just quiet lately but had many internal developments in our proprietary sim engine, like: - wingmen AI doing bombing runs on enemy warships - new camera views (switching to view other units in the battlefield, etc) - improved ground physics - wingmen AI capable of doing carrier traps - the art department revamped the Mirage/Dagger and MB339 to a very hires version (pics comming soon) - Sea Harrier being updated to a very hires version as we speak ...and more stuff. Stay tuned!

[...]- the art department revamped the Mirage/Dagger and MB339 to a very hires version (pics comming soon) Hello all, Olá Dante, first post from a old Jaguar mechanic of french air force and first interrogations ... Sorry ... Dante, you talk about a Aermacchi MB-339 but, in the official site FEATURES, it's only for "a later expansion pack". That means this plane will be directly implemented in "Jet Thunder: Falkands/Malvinas" like a flyable aircraft ? Could we expect a Vulcan (or helicopters) ? I beg your pardon my poor english and i wish you the best continuation as possible. Have a nice day. PS : like you see in my signature, the french simers are waiting for your title impatiently.

the widescreen video demo is very impressive... it gives a great sense of speed and "being there" in the cockpit, especially the G-effects and cockpit reflections. can't wait to get a hold of this sim!

It is good to hear something... I was starting to think vapourware.
Any projected quarter/year? It is vaporware. look at the screenshots, low budget basement project, will be lucky to find a publisher and will never see mass distribution even if it ever releases. Combat simulations are NOT moneymakers anymore, especially if they aren't done to professional standards. Not to be insulting but this game looks like a mod project using a cheap game engine at best.

It seems that the best days of this sim are in the past. Somebody pleeeease (pooor favoooor) prove me wrong. we're still working on it. fairly intensively as far as our jobs allow. The project recently received a boost when due to economic climate, i lost my job and got to work on jet thunder full time for some time. we're now in a sort of alpha stage which shows most of the features in the game, but that they are unbalanced and unpolished. Its took 5-6 years so far since we started. And I really want to finish it this year.

i can understand the sentiment though - 5 years to make a game. bleh! for the last 3 year i was working at juice games making a game with about 30 other people, that got canned - its all over the public domain now, Stormbirds - these projects take some time - perhaps our mistake was to announce our intent to make jet thunder so early? It ought to have been secret perhaps. ironically its my fault the world knows about it since I used to be a loudmouth on the forums Its certain is not vapourware though it may seem that way when things take so long - its basically ruled our life for the past half decade. every waking moment is concerned with it. All spare time taken up by it - or if we get distracted by PS3 or something, there is that guilt to the project we owe it I wouldn't worry too much about the graphical look of our project - it generally matches what is out there, performs extremely well on mid range systems including average laptops, and now that we begin to expand the programming team, the more superficial but finishing touches will be applied.

What a pleasant, upbeat little post. Thanks for that. Moving on, I'm looking really forward to this mostly because no-one else has touched it, it has carriers (yay), and the avionics should be a little more fun and lowtech than most other modern jet sims. Please keep us posted- and throw away the PS3, you know you'll go blind if you keep doing that.

Even if the project is what you love, it's still work, and takes alot of time (your FREE time).. Best wishes to you, scary_pigeon in finding a "paying" job. And when you folks feel your "second" jib us finished, we'll be around to support you all.

Dante, Scary_Pigeon, J T'ers, thanks for the update it's good to know you are still around and that J T is moving along. I will miss this banter when the sim comes out, it seems I have followed it's progrees from PCs around the globe! From the Iraq to France, Afghanistan to Aberdeen I have tuned in to see what you've been upto in the updates you post. I am visiting the setting for J T this year, and will finaly get to see the areas depicted as well as some of the crash sites of those who took part in this desperate battle. If I can help you with any GR.3 close up shots, let me know. Good luck.
S_P, Stormbirds looked good, a new twist to flight games.

for the last 3 year i was working at juice games making a game with about 30 other people This means you know Steve Hunt and other ex-DID, right? Are you still in contact? If so, could you get a message to him? Tell him that we'd love to talk with him or any ex-DID on the SimHQ F-22 Total Air War board. I'm guessing he already knows this but just in case he doesn't. -- Thank you kindly, Mark
