"SimHQ has learned the unfortunate news that Lighthouse Interactive has become insolvent. We have been told their parent Canadian company has become insolvent and also their UK distributor has gone bankrupt. At this time, the future of their two armor sims, "Steel Fury: Kharkov 1942" and "WWII Battle Tanks: T34 vs. Tiger" is in question."
So don't expect much in support or add-ons for these two sims/games... unfortunately. (JMO)

As far as I know, Lighthouse is just the european publisher, so when they got insolvent does not mean that the producers are finished....or I am wrong?
So I am really lucky, because I got my SF last week from them......
And so far I love it, it has great potential.

It is really unpleasant news. But... incorrect conclusions, unnecessary a panic. What connexion between Lighthouse-Interactive and development or support of these sims? The unofficial patch for Steel Fury correcting localisation problems exists about two months. And till now there is no official variant of that patch. Also as well as there is no official patch fixing an error on widescreen monitors. Addon "Blau" it is finished by Graviteam in the autumn and LH also did not participate in any way in development of this addon. For these sims LH only "seller".

I need to pick up Steel Fury. Does anyone know if GoGamer still has copies? I hope they renew their past partnership with Battlefront and the series continues.

Thank god I got a refund for TvsT. Yeah, I screwed up in ordering that piece of junk. I'll be very much more careful next time I order a game.

I'm having fun with SF. Got it from GoGamer a couple days ago. Works good on my machine. Lots of confusion learning the game It's always fun learning a new game. Just downloaded the patch, but have no clue how to install it. The instructions are a lot like the manual. "Babblefish-esque" in nature so to speak. If anybody has a clear, idea about how to apply that patch, please gimme a holler! As for T vs T I never got around to that one. Maybe I am fortunate in that regard. Since Lighthouse only distributed the product, and the development was done by another entity, how does this effect the product istelf? Maybe I am naive or just plain ignorant on this issue. I could use an explanation on that as well. Introspection alert: It would seem that these economic times will affect our lives in many ways that have yet to be forseen. How many die-hards will hang on to their last pennies to support their computer Jones? What kind of "luxuries" will disappear in the near future, as our economic reality changes? Will people have to choose between their cable TV, and their internet access? (Dump the TV, save IQ pionts) Just my personal preference. "Dancing with the stars, and Oprah," or SimHQ ? It's a no-brainer for me, it's a harder choice for say.....my fiance. Lots of choices to be made. Lots of unforseen circumstances. Lots of unintended consequences. Lots of room for the proper application of wisdom. We shall all grow wiser I fear. What will be the cost? One thing is for certain. We shall all have to count the cost of our favorite passtime. Time will tell what choices we need to make.
