LOL! I should have expected Winkle to have his Kali keys handy ... Rather entertaining to me that WWBrian started this thread with his personal SimHQ post #1 .... all these years and he's only now decided to pop in here and make a splash. No surprise however, that his first thread here is a "recon" to see how many of his old friends and foes have already decided to ante-up for future RoF fun. So, when is Sensei showing up? Oh, and yes, I have not only the keys but I have Kali still running. Cheers

I've been flying WW1 sims since the Red Baron I days.. Tried many over the years and have always wanted a modern WWI sim for many years now. FS-WWI has kept me in good company, but the graphics are starting to look a bit dated.

I played RBII and RB3D for quite a while. But by no means did I play only those two. I like and have played many flight sims, both civilian and military. Besides RB, other military sims I have played are Rowan's BOB, Rowan's Mig Alley, CFS1 and 2, European Air War, B-17 Mighty 8th and probably a few I can't remember. But the one I've flown the longest is IL2, from the very first demo until '46.
Civilians sims I have had, or still have are MSFS, even before it was owned by Microsoft, ( can't remember who owned before they had it ) and had MSFS 95, 98, 2000, 2002 and 2004. I had Fly! FlyII, Pro-Pilot 99, and X-plane going all the way back to X-plane 5. I guess I'm a sim nut and always have been. I think I even had a copy of the old Red Baron way back when but I was not impressed with it until RBII came out. Sims I have not had are MSFS X and CFS3.
Oh yeah, MSFS was originally by Bruce Artwick Organiztion ( BAO ) I think.
Had to edit!! How could I leave out Falcon ( on floppy disk, ran in DOS ) and then Falcon 3 of course.

It was programmed by SubLogic founded by Bruce Artwick. It even had a W.W.I part where you could fly the Sopwith Camel. Bruce Artwick wrote a tech demo for a flight simulator in 1975 already on an Apple computer. Am I that old?

They might start out talking about B-25s but end up talking about the Loch Ness Monster or somethingAnd this never happens to you in everyday conversation In conversation if someone said "That reminds me" and you said "Please stick to the subject I brought up" people would think you were a control freak. Would they not Ming

Ahh CLOD never in the history of Simming has so much been promised and so little given.

(Formerly LW_Herr Mac, then LW_Dumbo, of the Lone Wulffe Squadron.) Nice to see you, LWulffe_Herr Mac. Your MMP Primer is still included in the Red Baron 3D Tutorials category category on Wings Of Honor. And what you have written in it is still valid. Cheers

It's where WWI and Multiplayer meets again. (very heartening to see the enthusiasm here, and that much of the on-going excitement for ROF is coming from online interest) Editorial: I'm always encouraged by the fact that multiplay means people, and the real need for community (this a basic requirement for its existence).
