What is the trick to get resolutions above 800x600? I can get a higher resolution in windowed mode with the most recent patch released by Arneh, but in full screen mode, I'm stuck with 800x600. Don't see anything in the .ini file. I've also tried resetting res to 640x480.

EECH should detect which gfx card you have and support all the resolutions it does. You can try to use set reset3d=1 in eech.ini for it to redetect what card you have and what resolutions it supports. And you must be in fullscreen when it does the detection.

I'm having the same problem with my new GTX260 card. I'm running the 185 Beta drivers from NVidia and I cant bring the resolution above 800x600. I tried the mentioned solutions (3dreset, deleting of game.cfg) already but nothing helps. Any ideas?

Still the same problem, after using the cohokum test.exe mentioned in another forum I can up the resolution to 1024x768 which is an improvement but still at least one step short of 1280x1024.

Does it work if you set the resolution from the command line?

Open the command line, cd to the directory you have installed EECH e.g.:
Code:
cd C:\Program Files\Razorworks\cohokum

then run EECH something like this:
Code:
cohokum 3dw:1680 3dh:1050

(replace 1680 and 1050 with the actual resolution you want to run).

Nope, doesn't work.

I'm trying to run a fresh EECH + AllMods 1.11 Installation under Windows Vista 64 Ultimate and once I applied the cohokumtest.exe I actually saw all those nice models. Beforehand I only saw a mulitcolored nothing. However I cannot raise the Resolution above 720x480 while in the game and your suggestion didn't work either.

I'm using a GTX260 with the latest WHQL Drivers (I believe 182.x) ...

P.S. : Even 640x480 the game and especially the modells look rather nice ... kudos for that.

I've changed so that the 3dreset eech.ini option also rechecks which resolutions the gfx supports.

I've also added a commandline option to force the resolution even if the gfx card doesn't support it (as far as EECH knows).

But I haven't actually tested if they work since my EECH does already support the resolutions my gfx card does, so I can't test it myself.

Would it be possible to release the fix or send me the file - I would happily act as a beta tester.

Well, I can't think of anything else I can do if it doesn't work... so testing isn't that much in demand. Either it will work or I'm out of ideas.

Just curious - is this a problem for newer cards or newer drivers? My 8800GTX using 177.83 runs 1920x1200.

Probably newer drivers ... everything worked fine up to 180.x or so I think.
