It's probably already posted somewhere, but I'll ask anyways... is there a good site yet for community made missions?? The 2 co-op missions that came with the game is a joke.. no multiplayer campaign either... unless I'm just missing it... anyways, I would like to fly some co-op with other friends, but its not looking good so far... any help in pointing me in the right direction would be nice... thanx...

True mission packs like those made for FC are harder to make because of the long load times - but before anyone starts, I would caution to wait for the first patch, Ed has a history of patching that ends up making earlier missions unplayable either because of fixes or improvements.

An added problem is the new ME itself, it is too new, and any changes in it can render any mission unplayable.

OMG, why are people in a hurry to make new missions? They've already finished the 100+ missions that come with the game? Wow! What's the hurry? It'll take me until Christmas 2009 to finish the missions that came with the sim. Then again, I mostly do only SP.

well the man did say he was looking for more co-op MP missions, maybe with bigger flights... those are limited from what I've seen in the game... but of course I'm still training, lol, haven't fired a weapon yet...so I still have plenty to do.

If you join a co-op on an online server via the in-game browser the missions will be automatically downloaded to your TEMP folder. That way you can have user made missions without having to ask for them... just join a server running a co-op.

Thanx all for the replies... Looking forward to getting in the air with ya AV8R.. as was mentioned, I am looking for co-op multiplayer missions, and only 2 shipped with the game. Before the flaming starts, let me say I like the game and I'm sure I'll be spending a lot of time in it, but this is not the end all in sims we were hoping for. Say what you will, but this is LOMAC in a helocopter... don't get me wrong, thats a good thing, but unfortunately it suffers from all the same problems LOMAC did... no dynamic campaign and such... this wouldn't be such a big deal, but the Mission Editor is just a clone of LOMAC's... you can tell its the exact same engine, with absolutely no improvments made what-so-ever... I did a lot of mission building in LOMAC so its easy to recognize... but mission building is why I stopped playing LOMAC.. its such a cumbersome, non-intutitive program that it just makes you want to scream sometimes. A key example is building MP missions... when you add aircraft, you have to set triggers, waypoints and all the usual stuff.. ok.. thats part of mission building, but the problem is if you want to build a mission where 4 players can play, you have to go thru the entire process for each and every aircraft.. you can't just make a 4 seat flight where every player has the same goals and waypoints.. you have to build from scratch for each one, and trying to get everything to match for all becomes way more than tedious... I had expected that ED would have learned from the past with LOMAC, but apparently the community needs were commpletly ignored by them... this multiplayer part is just the tip of the iceburg... I guess what really bugs me is that after all this time I thought they would make improvements on this kind of thing, but its just a clone of the past, bugs and all...
After saying all that, I still like the game and will probably fall back into my old habits of building missions because I like helo sims so much, and there just isn't much out there for us, but I was hoping for more from ED....


P.S. The fact that it doesn't have a dynamic campaign wouldn't be such a hard pill to swallow if they had made the campaings co-op.. but I know why they didn't... its just so freaking tedious to build multiplayer missions..

Yeah, me too. I'm still in training, although I have fired some weps cause I tried Instant Action a couple of times. I blew some #%&*$# up! But I got shot down quickly afterwards by missles I never saw coming. I like the single player game. It's rich. It's what I liked about LB1. Lots of campaigns, lots of missions. This sim will keep me busy until about Christmas 2009, before I go looking for MP competition. I just hope MP has adversarial and not just coop. Adversarial with combat helos has to be awesome.

This sim is so much better than EE2. I also have that one installed.
