I discovered the comic books of Romain Hugault this year, and have bought all four of them. He is a young guy who makes some simply AMAZING colour drawings in his beautiful comic books.

Here's his blog:

http://romain-hugault.blogspot.com

He prefers to draw WWII airplanes and hot women. What is there not to like? - Oh yes, maybe one little thing: the text is in French. Well, if that is a problem for you, there are some amazing drawings to enjoy smile

Cover of his latest comic book. A story involving the Heinkel "Uhu" night fighter:

Another pic of the Uhu:

These are his albums so far:

- They contain some wonderful artwork of all major WWII fighters and some rather less-known planes as well.

I also liked liberatores RanXerox in the old heavy metal mags ( the style was a bit more R , probably PG nowadays...)

There is a new french artist who does comics thatgoes by the name Bengal, but he is more into sci-fi and mecha stuff, Hugaults stuff is very well done , any comic that has a caudron racer has to be AAA+

PS Kami, after japanese, wouldnt french be a piece o gateaux?

Klong! *my jaw has just hit the ground*

So many thanks for the heads-up for this real artist! I have always loved the Uhu - she's so beautiful - that a comic book focused on her, with such outstanding images is more than I could have ever dreamt to see without the consumption of genetic altered grass.
