It's not about selling out or buying in. It's about his stance on the MODs, what he felt about those who embraced the MODs and how he went about letting those feelings known.
Attacking anyone who even hinted at using MODs. Now everything is OK because he's started using them....no it ain't.

Awefully loud at that so i agree with the above statement. Not judging you Wulfy, but i'm sure you see why others may be judgemental.

Ah well. Forgive and forget. All friends now...apparently. Welcome to the world of 'childish, immature, immoral tossers'. We all change our opinions but don't try to make out you were just messing about and winding us up.

Just remember folks... Wulfy DID NOT have to admit this in a public forum...

It takes a brave man to admit he is wrong!

It's great that he has the balls to admit he was wrong, however he upset a lot of people on the way. He also says he enjoyed insulting people, thought it entertaining to call them tossers for using or supporting MODs, what a laugh he must of had. He shows no regret for doing that!
But it's OK now because he is using them and they're quite good after all.

+1 Agree 100% mate.

Look at my sig, I'd say 90% of the people who said they wouldn't touch mods, even some who told me so in PM ("not til Oleg says it's ok"), are using mods now.

Fine, so why the drama and the promises then?

Was it worth it?

I myself won't use them, and never will now (for other reasons too), but that was my business I never made a big deal at the beginning.

It was a hack til the modders (some of whom are very talented) made something you want eh?

So, I guess this topic is all about how long some can hold an internet grudge?

Wulfycuddles, called some of us some bad names so let us hate him forever, right?

Come on guys, do any of you actually think that anything said on this forum matters?

Wulfycuddles, what took ya so long?

A lot of people are anti-mod until someone makes a mod they want.
I am not in the 'forgive and forget' crowd either.I was one of the guys who was in the firing line, and got a lot of abuse at the beginning, both publicly in forums and in PM,being called amongst other things morally corrupt and as bad as a peodophile!.
Quite a few of those people are mod users now.

I use the Wind Mod and the all Aircraft.
Nothing like flying a coop mission in a 16 plane formation of B17s where the only seats available are the gunner seats. \:\)

Or, to finally be one of those Cherry Blossom suicide plane pilots. \:\)

Good times.

Still missing the point IMO... Mod users were scorned because others feared use of the mod would allow cheating on a large scale and destroy online compatibility. Now that some modder groups have established a set of rules to follow which prevent the first of those fears from materialising, the only way to make sure the second one doesn't happen, and that everybody can all play together again is becoming a Mod user.
It was never about morality or right and wrongs of hacking the game, it was about preserving online experience. Now that the Mod is what everybody uses, not using it and sticking to your B.S morality principles would be stupid as you would then be the one who's destroying the experience and would be left out of what you sought to preserve in the first place.

Cheers

Nico

Well I felt I had to say something to say as SimHQ was my home site for almost 7 years. Thats a long time.

I had a lot of great memories and made many friends here, however the MOD mud slinging got so bad that I had no other option but to leave. There are many other regulars like myself who also have taken an extended wait and see vacation.
I drop in and out just to test the waters but quite honestly I never expected to see this thred.
I still really have mixed feelings, as to what happened on this forum. It was no joke.

This is a good start, however I would suggest Wulfy, Chivas and a number of other folks,....they know who they are, go back and re read their postings during that period of time.
I'd be only happy to make peace, however I guess I have to know that it's for all the right reasons.

Personally I stopped coming here because the cutting edge was elsewhere. But as we are now allowed to endorse modding I'm pleased to come home. Hope you do the same RDDR. We need more ex-Gordon Lightfoot musicians!

Too bad the apology was nowhere near as eloquent as the sermonizing we had to endure before.

Okay, then, group hug.

Ming, if you're trying to pick my pocket, the wallet is on the other side.

If not, see me afterwards.
