I'm very sad No tip to resolve this problem ? Perhaps you can consider buying an old graphics card from eBay? I don't think it will cost you a great deal of money. For some easy bucks you can get the game running. Just my 2 cents.

I'm guessing that Ramoule and Falcon99 are in the same situation as me.... The problem with that Kassie is that handicapping your PC with a 7000 series GFX card to run EECH will stop people playing all the lastest games, and after looking at Falcon99's PC spec that would be akin to putting 1969 volkswagon beetle engine into a Porsche.
That is exactly the point. Of course buying an used GF 7950 or 8800 is an option. But it annoys quite alot, always being forced to change the GFX card when switching between Lock On, other newer games and EECH. There's still one solution for me: My second / old PC. It is an Athlon 3400+ with a Radeon HD 3850 AGP. Of course this card also makes trouble with EECH (the same problems as the HD 4850), but there might be a way getting this to work with the Catalyst 8.2 driver (anything newer seems to fail), as someone wrote around here. If that fails, i still have the option to change the HD 3850 for a X1950 Pro AGP. This card seems not to have any problems with EECH, not even with the newest drivers! And due to the weak CPU, it will probably not be much slower... One thing is for sure: EECH 1.10.2 will have its comeback for me soon!!

But it annoys quite alot, always being forced to change the GFX card when switching between Lock On, other newer games and EECH. You wouldn't necessarily have to physically switch cards though. Assuming one card is PCI-Express or AGP and the other is one which can use one of the other slots (PCI?), then both can be installed at the same time. And if you have a monitor with several inputs, you could even have one cable from each card into the monitor, and just use the monitor's input selector to choose which one the monitor should use. And EECH allows you to choose which gfx card it uses. Not that I've tried it, but in theory it should work

I'm guessing that Ramoule and Falcon99 are in the same situation as me.... We've got the new high end video card and really don't want to lose it... The problem with that Kassie is that handicapping your PC with a 7000 series GFX card to run EECH will stop people playing all the lastest games, and after looking at Falcon99's PC spec that would be akin to putting 1969 volkswagon beetle engine into a Porsche. Fair enough. Your responses are much appreciated and I'll look for you guys online... Second try. 3D Analyze? Emulating lacking hardware feature with 3D-Analyze
If your video card hardware features don't match DirectX based favourite game's minimal system requirements - you can look for those reading on game box and/or game readme.txt file - try to emulate those "moving" your graphics board into minimal category necessary to play it. Following main 3D-Analyze settings to check if you want emulate a DirectX version starting from previous one. linkI used it several years ago. It's a giant switchboard with all kinds of graphical related options.

I'm selling my whole stick and pedals set-up do to this problem and my disappointment in EECH-2 and the God-Aweful wait that is going on for DCS. I'll play CoH or Conan till I get tired of them. Then maybe come back.

. Why do that? Why not play some other nice sims like Falcon 4.0 and IL-2.Youll certainly need your HOTAS and pedals later on.

. I've been spoiled by graphically intense games such as Crysis, AoC, and CoH. I've grown so tired of waiting for DCS-BlackShark and the graphics issues with EECH that I don't think I'll be coming back to flight sims for a while. If I do ... then selling my gear will give me a good excuse to get something more up to date ... .

LIONPRIDE, if you are waiting, why not in the meantime fly EECH2DO. With graphics options all turned on and at truly high res its a nice looking game. OK, it may be no Crysis gfx, but nice nevertheless. If I want to fly the Comanche or Hokum I fire up DO, I'm used to the nice looking 3D pits... of course nothing beats Arneh's incredible AH64D pit, but the EECH2 pits sure are nice as well... The 3D 'crew camera view' is still my fav. DCS ... is that *ever* going to see the light of day ?

Changelog ... well I think that 'under the hood' things have changed for the better. It is reported (by the company now distributing DO) that there are new objects and the shaders have been improved upon. I honestly can't say that's true for sure yet, since I am only just scratching the surface of DO, but the new campaigns, especially afghanistan and antarctic sure 'look' nice. I have yet to encounter a CTD or other serious problem (single player as of yet), so I would say that's a good sign. It says version 2.0.0 (compared to version 1.02 patched for EECH2 non-DO), so probably things have changed-improved further yet. Since the GUT is now also 1.8.2 by default playing is fortunately a bit more challenging. Flying the comanche - visually much better inside compared with EECH1 - I won't go back to EECH1, but the AH64D cockpit (my fav) is still desirable. Being able to change the in-game language (menues) by simply adapting a few letters (file 'language') is also great. Personally I am oh so glad I bought EECH2+EECH2DO (I had serious doubts when EECH2 first came out because of the many bugs) and in my view EECH2 is now a truly great addition to any simmer's collection (in its own right). Comparing it to EECH1-modded is not really fair since ... there is only 1 Arneh
