Hi all

I am a longtime Falcon fan, I remember playing Falcon AT!! I have loved the series and was really hooked when the Superpak and Realism patches came out after official support ended. It was like playing a brand new sim.

But with F4AF, which is very stable and officially supported to make the "falcon dance" an thing of the past, I find myself tempted, and have tried, playing F4 with the FF patch/mod installed. I must say, graphically it is gorgeous. It has crashed a few times and the realism I feel is on par with F4AF.

So, why do I feel like I am "cheating" by playing FF/RV? Will F4AF forgive my brief transgresion? "Honey, that other Falcon sim meant nothing to me!" I hear myself saying.

But with F4AF seemingly done with official patches, I fear I may be yet again tempted to stray.

Go for it I say - I too have been tempted back to FF4/RV especially with the prospect of FF5 on the horizon.

I was pleasantly surprised with relative ease of install (over original F4) and of course the gorgious graphics and effects. I have even used my X52 AF profile and key bindings (lazy!!)

Whats more I have found it very stable so far - FF have obviously done a lot of work to get it looking and flying this good - great work guys.

I am currently working my way thru the 1983 Korean Campaign and is a real blast so far.

The only issues that I am aware of is multiplayer stability - although I have not tried to connect on-line, so cannot confirm.

Basicallly I am now using FF4/RV for the majority of my off-line flying and AF online.

Now if FF can pull off the same multiplayer stability with FF5 as AF, along with a few more goodies, there might be a few more defectors.

Enjoy

It's all good! Any bets on when FF 5 (next version of RV) will be released?
