Mission for today.

Way Points.

Our SPAD XIII's of Esc N.78 on the way to the rendezvous.

Rendezvous successful. Brugeuts of Esc SOP.29 with escort in the background.

Enemy below!

Fokker DVII's of Jasta 2.

After a dive a DVII comes into range...

...a 2 second burst. A flamer!

I search but can't find any friendly aircraft. There's still two enemy left and so I break in towards the attack. I recognize the aircraft...it's Karl Bolle, a known ace!

Now my hands are full. He's only ever in my sights for a fraction of a second and there's still another enemy somewhere around. Not a healthy situation!

I'm low on fuel and decide descretion is the better part of valour and so use my superior diving speed to disengage and hope that the friendly ground units will keep the enemy from chasing.

My engine cuts out from lack of fuel and I have to glide home.

Completion of a successful 2nd mission.

Rabbits, break right and climb.

Thanks for posting! Nice to see an RB report. Hope the Captain is not too hard on you for leaving the escort.

Yeah \:\) They ran into more Fokkers over no-mans land. Luckily there were friendlies to help out.

I guess I'll find out when he gets out of hospital \:D

Way over in Perth, Western Aus...
Good report - I like the camo scheme on the Fokkers.

Excellent report! Neat to see a sim which infrequently gets shown. Camo on the planes look great.

Ah! RB3D! Haven't played that in years. One of my all-time favorites (once the Super Patch came out).

How does it run with XP?

It runs fine on XP \:\) There was a problem with getting sound to work but there are a number of fixes, the easiest of which is to use the Reload program. All info is in the Red Baron forum.

These planes are from the Hells Angels Gold patch http://www.hellsangels.firstflare.com/patch.htm (no new aircraft - just skins), the terrain is the frame friendly Openglide-PL128 http://www.xs4all.nl/~rensg/rb3d/downloads/
