I've noticed a few flyable aircraft can carry the AGM88. Is there any documentation or tutorials on it's use? Can't figure out how to lock it on and it blows up right after launch. I have poked around the net to no avail so far. Any guidance appreciated.

Um, I don't think so. The only flyable US aircraft in Lockon are the A-10 and the F-15C. As for as I know, neither of these can carry AGM-88, only the AI aircraft can carry it.

Maybe you have added this weapon to a flyable using LOPE or similar Modding tool - not surprisingly it is pot luck if an added weapon will actually function when you use LOPE or more usually misses the target / blows up when launched.

Maybe you have used a Mod to make AI aircraft flyable. As I mentioned above, don't expect Modded things to work 100%. Lockon is not very easy to Mod.

Los - BritRadarDude is correct. Maybe you mean the AGM-84A HARPOON. Which can be fired like any other LOPE'ed armament that is IR guided (i.e AGM-65D "The IIR Maverick"). Of course the aircraft must have AG capability (i.e Su-33).

Yep I'm definately using a mod, (is there someone who doesn't? <grin>) the Crimean Air War mod and also the Tornado mod (amongst others) both allow some flyable AC to carry the AGM88 HARM. What's funny is that there's even a Tutorial in the Tornado mod (in german) on it's use but the missile fails during the tutorial. But they don't work, and they don't have any decent documentation on the thing. Was just wodnering if I was missing anything obvious. Thanks. (back to the Kh58)

The AGM-88 will always fail because the script to ride the radar signture is aircraft specific. The Tornado Mod is just another flyable aircraft with the external view of the Tornado. Since the aircraft used doesn't have the script required for the AGM-88 to work. It will merely launch and explode or go balastic.

You mention you are using both the Crimean Air Wars Mod and the Tornado Mod.

But the Tornado Mod is for v1.02 and the CAW Mod is FC only, so if you are using both of these at the same time on the sme Lockon installation, it is a bit of a wonder that your system is still working? Or do you have 2 installs on your rig - a v1.02 and an FC?

Looks like the A-10A is the flyable used. Since the A-10A doesn't run SEAD missions, the AGM-88 will not be active in this mod.

I'm using modman to swap out between mods. The Tornado mod works perfectly fine in FC other than the AGM88.
