Hey guys,

Just thought I'd give you a heads up on a HDR plugin for LOMAC. Looks pretty good and you can customize the intensity to suit your taste. More info over at the LO forums.

BRAMSKI,

I see the bloomin' difference (punn intended), and I read the link you provided.
High Dynamic Range Rendering is dependant upon DX version and the graphics hardware used.
I think, this mod of yours does "fake HDR" by way of using gausian filter techinques.
Perhaps the more modern the video card, the better the results will be? We shall see.

After reading the other forum, I put together an install.txt file using your information and
placing it in the same extracted folder after running WinACE for further reference.
It contains the info I would need w/r/t installing and using this mod.
Here it is:

---
To activate the mod just take the files named enbseries.ini and
d3d8.dll from the zip file I attached and put it into your main
Lockon directory.

The file named enbseries.ini is the config file that controls all the
effects and there are quite a few parameters that are adjustable but
thankfully theres a readme that explains what each one does.

Just for reference you can switch the mod on and off in sim by holding
shift+backspace so you can see the difference

-----

Thanks for sharing your efforts.
S!

Hi guys, hope you enjoy it. Thanks for simplifying the install txt AV8R \:\) The guy who originally made the mod is Boris vorontsov, heres a link to his site, he seems pretty active on his quest book so he might be helpful with any specific questions.

Vienna, 2nd rock left.
It works in IL-2 as well, seems there can be much fun had with this thing.

Yeah, this is really making the rounds. I am minus a video card right now but I can't wait to try it out.

I know it works for DX8 and DX9. Is there any capability in it for DX7?

As long as Ambient Occlusion is off it doesn't cost too many frames on newer cards.

How do you made it work in IL-2? I tried to active it with Shift-Backspace and Shift-F12 but to no avail

Hey Pablo are you running iL2 in Open GL or DirectX mode? It has to be in DirectX mode to work as the file is DirectX specific.

Kind of a surreal look. Seems more like the opposite of HDRI but it does help luminous material go past the texture limits and into float which is great for sun glare. Been tweaking it for CFS3 Med Air War. Still have not found a nice balance between the gauzy bloom look and something approaching reality. Lots to tweak.

Perhaps those using LOMAC might want the author's newest. It interprets Direct X9 calls for Direct X8 games. That's pretty cool. Doesn't work with CFS3 yet but perhaps the LOMAC fans might benefit from it?

Share your findings if anyone tries it out.

This Russian is one clever guy.

I love this mod!

Can't believe it took a month to hear about this.
