Howdy heard allot of good about this game going to install and run it through its paces and see if its a keeper. I have Red Baron 3D P3 1.0 gz 256mb ram Voodoo 5 and Win 98se what would you recommend installing to improve the stock game nothing to extensive for now, I like realism but there is a fine line between where it starts to take away from the fun of the game. Thanks for any Info!

Hi Lonny,
You have a great machine to run modded RB. You don't even need a Glide wrapper! For a simple and major upgrade, choose Hell's Angels Super Patch. Install the patch along with your choice of scenery and you are ready to go:

You may also easily install my latest flight model; please find it at:

http://vonoben.free.fr/Misc_RB/Misc.htm

choosing, of course, that for HASP (Hell's Angels Super Patch) if you installed this one.

BTW, I've almost your same rig (Win98, Celeron 1.0 GHz, 320 MB RAM, Voodoo 4 and it runs very fine.

Later, you may also fine tune your game using FCJ-Control Panel, find it at:

Have fun!

(S!) ALL hi ;-)

If you are into online game play there are FAW & Cold War modes
That give you a better experience then the normal stock online FM.
Wish you a fun time in RB3D land. \:\)

Be sure to check out the post at the top of the Forum to guide you around some serious pitfalls installing, running and adding patches to RB3D!
HASP (and latest FM) with either the "OTE/combo" terrain(at the HASP site under "Scenery") or
the "PL2/PL/combo".
http://files.filefront.com/PL2zip/;7202374;/fileinfo.html
will give you the quickest full upgrade, some Bomber types have been replaced.
For a completely STOCK plane upgrade, HAGOLD is available. Some people chose this because there are many, many FM's available.
Both of the above terrains also contain hundreds of updated graphics files like fire, smoke, sky and more, ensuring a complete graphics upgrade for the game.

Some good terrain to use with both Hell's Angels and Cold War that is also easy to install is the Promised Land 1 Terrain found at: http://www.xs4all.nl/~rensg/rb3d/downloads/Openglide-PL128.zip - just click the link and download.
