This is mostly just a release to fix some of the bugs in 1.10.1. Though the co-pilot has been made a little more useful as well \:\)

Changelog:
  • Added option for co-pilot to search for and report any targets he finds. Option found in realism menu.
  • Added ability to lock target or ground point (if no target under pointer) by clicking on TSD. Apache Longbow only.
  • Fixed next/previous target commands for EO.
  • Fixed crash when using joystick axis for EO control and moving while target is locked
  • Fixed crash when exiting campaign with masterserver enabled
  • Fixed problem where unguided rockets would fire in LOAL mode
  • Fixed problem with Ka-52's EO camera pointing in the wrong direction
  • Fixed problem where wrong camouflage would be used (gotcha)
  • EECH won't any longer load texture from all sub directories of textures\terrain, just the ones for the current map

download

For those who already have 1.10 installed you can just replace your cohokum.exe with this one.

- If this is what I hope it is it might fix the problem with default/winter/summer terrain texture loading for subsequent Campaign selections ?
- It should mean even better memory management/usage, even faster gameplay ... ?
Thank you all so much.

No, but Gotcha's fix should fix that.

No, it means map specific textures instead of the textures it finds first.

Uhm, it's not like they hit anything when firing in LOAL mode, they would just fire high up in the sky, and not at all at what you were aiming at.

You can still fire from behind hills if the target is far enough away. I've done it quite a bit myself lately, and it's great fun firing tons of rockets at a target 3-5 kms away while behind cover behind a hill \:\) The accuracy is terrible, but if you're firing at something big, or many targets in a limited area it works quite well. Like once I fired at some hangars at an airport and took out a few of the parked planes as well \:\) It's kind of like an artillery salvo.

Thanx, seems my eech.ini fixes came too late...
Just uploaded to cvs, two options don`t get generated and stripped at each start if put in by hand.
these concern the
collective amount at zone 1
and
autoreturn to pilot seat after periscope use

I`m just the group commanders KA-52 driver, so I wanna KA-50 all for myself...

Understood, thx.
To me, game fixes are even more important than new features.
This makes eech-modded THE helo sim (above especially EECH2, which is still unoptimized).
It's like LB(2) was ... it didn't crash and ruin the fun.
That is why I also prefer e.g. F4:AF over LO ... bugs and foremost unstability, unpredictability etc. kills the immersion of any game/sim (for me).
What's astounding is the fact that a brand new version like 1.10.x is almost bugfree from the start. One would expect to have some CTD, but (I had) not one yet (flying the LB) ... great jobs guys.

Thanks so much Arneh! Ran well after a very quick test in Skirmish/Alaska. Just dropped in the new exe.

I also replaced the Apache cockpit with Badger's sharpened version. Didn't notice any major issues. Do you have any recommendations or experience with this replacement?

The file is noticeable smaller, is it missing something?

1.10.2 -> 26,5 MB
1.10.1 -> 33,5 MB

No, it just uses better compression.
