Well I finally got LB2 working via glidewrapper at 1600x1200x32...and it looks alot better then my software mode i had to play in... but 1 thing, after every mission it crashes to desktop... so can't do campaigns just single missions... but at least I can re-visit it in semi-nice glory... lol...

re-sized to 800x600x32

SWEET!

One major thing... wheres my voice... I remember the Betty saying... Rotor RPMs low... and my gunner and wingman saying... "weapons free", "were taking fire sir"...etc etc... not hearing any of the speech...

but man I love the mission brief screens... they just don't make games like this anymore...

man, if I won the lottery... I'd get Skunkworks back together for a modern day LB2 with yesterdays excellent gameplay.

Was the best helo sim ever, EECH is a joke compared to LB2. I remember taking off once flying to a mission and under me was a M109 battery conducting a fire mission. Was always cool to actually see a ground war going on around you. EECH's ground war is pathetic, nothing like a tank, APC, jeep, and a truck just sitting there for no reason waiting for you to come blow them away. How cool an updated LB2 would be.

none... it wouldn't even run in XP for me, runs in software mode with a default install on Vista... and who says Vista ain't worth poop? lol

I guess I could try and put it into XP campat mode or something, and see if the betty/wingman voice comes back and/or the crashes end.

still testing and fine tuning... like my other project? ;\)

Cool pics Mag, funny thing is I had this running on XP about a year ago with no probs also with zeckensacks glide wrapper with high res, the problem I had was I could only find one disc of my original LB2! so all I could play was instant action, as you needed disc 2 for the campaign, lol. I've got an old movie somewhere in the archive with the voices as well!

ya i have that debrief screen crash too. Doesn't happen all the time though...bout 1/4 of the time. Still annoying especially when you in azr and you get done with one of those long "special" missions.

strange you don't have voices. im on vista too and i never had a problem with it.

it does work on xp just fine with glide wrappers too. couple years ago i got it to work with VPC before i knew about these other ways to get it on xp/vista

i hate rapiers too
