I started following this thread in 06 was told the game would be ready end of that year ,then first of 2007 then summer 2007 then first of 2008 and now end of this year . Not gonna happen . ... Oh yeah, gotta believe in logic like that... Talking of logic, why would a developer, who has a sim apparently in limbo, and with many interested would-be purchasers wondering whether they have the means to finish and launch the sim, issue a plane for us to fly in an existing flight sim engine -ie. FSX? To prove that the plane and scenery runs well in FSX? Is it such ridiculous speculation to wonder if KOTS buyers will need FSX too? My post wasn't directed at you Cas, or I'd have quoted you. I meant it more as a punt at the vapourware comments earlier up the thread. Speculations entertaining, if you've read my posts in here and in the Maddox BOB and ED Black Shark forums (I get about) you'll see plenty of it. Aimless "when's it out" or "this product doesn't exist" comments are just dull.

Hilarious, we get what ammounts to a simple flyable demo and still people find something to moan about. I just view it as clever advertising, using an open sim engine that probably a good proportion of the target audience have available. I bet there's plenty of people in the FS community been made aware of GT's existance by this release. Now where's that Camel There are going to be camels? If there are going to be camels then they better include dromaderies as well. Otherwise the whole immersion factor will be out the window. Everyone knows the Zouave regiments had replaced most of their camels with the single-humpers by 1916.

Camels? Bah.
DH-2 and Pups have more allure.
Vigorous pushing and gentle (not to powerful) pulling is the desired action and has proven to be the most appealing.
Silk scarf notwithstanding.

I had stick time in it
Thanks for that encouraging note Sim. Same here Dart. I'm starting to think of this period as a time when gennadich is pulling everything together for the big push to gold. Like our soccer team lately when we took on a military-style manager. Shows we're up for it.
Gennadich is up for it and with a following wind they'll make a fortune from RB fliers, re-invest it in developing addons for SoW, virtuous circle

By Christmas FlyRetired !!!! Are you serious . That's the 3rd time I've heard that about this game . There just isn't enough following for this time frame. I want it to come out more than anyone and have 2 brothers that want it badly also. One built one of those Sopwith Camels by Hasegawa for goodness sakes. But it's not coming out .Sorry .

By Christmas FlyRetired !!!! I don't understand your statement above or your anxiety about the developement of Knights Of The Sky? I've never made any statement predicting when KOTS will be released, and the only indication I've made in the past months is that the designers had stated they hoped to forward us some information by this Christmas past, which they did with the release of their free FSX Fokker Dr.I triplane add-on. Additionally, I'll never tell any of you information that has been told to me in confidence about Knights Of The Sky, past, present, or future, until I'm allowed to do so. If you read posts here, you'll realize that information I've given concerning the KOTS development process has already been stated by a design member on some other outlet, as in an interview or on another forum, and yes, despite the concerns now going on, I still don't feel obligated to allay anyone's fears. So if you don't understand what "work continues" and "be patient" means, then there's not much additional reason to try and soothe your anxiety. The timetable for KOTS development is not based on anyone's wishful desires, but on the hard work required that the developers creating this combat flight sim have put into their project. That's pretty much the bottom line (it's not a statement, but a process).

Isn't one gigantic thread where we started from? Then the cries for a whole new forum came up from the masses, so it was made. And the entire content of the new forum could be merged into just one thread.
