Yesterday, i applied the latest patch .........after applying and starting up, i could fly for about 10 minutes.........press a key command and then hear a tone beep and the game would freeze..........i had no problem with the original game as it came in the box......so i uninstalled the game and loaded the original and had no problems.......video setting are set to mid range....music is off... have a 1.4 g pentium/512 mb of ram...nvidea grapics card....also have cache for the ACMI is 5mb.......if it matters, i can run LOMAC just fine with the above setting...also have the latest nvidea drivers...........thanks.....

i would suggest you check you total graphics settings. This includes your driver settings and also did you make sure you did not push, by mistake, the pause button? F4AF has a lot to learn and if you are just starting the game things can get kinda crazy...getting up and flying the first few times is fairly simple, but if you are flying A2A or A2G w/o knowing the basic commands you might have a bit of trouble...good luck!

Isn't a 1.4 g little low on specs for the Sim?? You may also want to research and up your RAM. Falcon loves RAM and at 512 you are a little low. I recommend 2 GB but if $$ is a problem then you should be good at 1 GB of ram.

Running WinXP, windows you probably need 200-300MB of RAM
FalconAFv112, in offline campaign play, uses 370MB of RAM and 80MB in the mission scheduler.

Thats 280MB minimum and 670MB maximum to run windows and falconAF all in RAM.
Thats not including all the other programs and TSRs that use ram too.

Needless to say, your harddrive will be used alot to make up the difference in what the RAM
cannot load in the form of virtual memory or page swapping.

Anything less than 768MB RAM (3/4Gig) will probably result in slow performance, and thats not taking in
account for the CPU speed, video card, and graphic settings in the sim.
