http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...&displaylang=en- IMPORTANT: If you have already installed Flight Simulator X: Acceleration expansion pack, do not install Service Pack 2.
- IMPORTANT: You must install Service Pack 1 before installing Service Pack 2.
Notes:
Service Pack 2 does not include the code updates required to use the new Flight Simulator X: Acceleration aircraft. You must purchase and install Flight Simulator X: Acceleration to use those aircraft.
After you have installed Service Pack 2, you will be able to play multiplayer games only with users who have installed either Service Pack 2 or Flight SimulatorX: Acceleration.
Instructions
Download the service pack to the existing Flight Simulator X installation.
The service pack is one download per supported language. It detects Standard versus Deluxe SKUs and installs appropriately.
Your Flight Simulator X installation must have all original files unchanged: a repair may be necessary if you have changed any files.
Service Pack 2 Installation Notes:
After you install Service Packs 1 and 2, do not reinstall Service Pack 1.
If install SP2 and later purchase Flight Simulator X: Acceleration, you must uninstall SP2 before installing Acceleration.
If you install Flight Simulator X on a computer running the 64-bit Vista operating system, the Setup progress bar may not indicate progress during the installation. The program still installs correctly on this operating system.
It may appear that the progress bar is paused for a long time during DirectX installation. The installation is actually progressing but the Setup program does not indicate the progress.
When the time expires in demo mode after installing Flight Simulator X plus Acceleration or the service packs, attempting to activate the product may result in a dialog box that appears to be frozen. Press ALT+TAB to bring the active window to the front to continue product activation.
If you have problems installing Flight Simulator X Service Pack 2, close all open software applications including antivirus software before running Setup.
