Looks like a hot release is coming.
If you have more pics of work-in-progres like the above, please put the thread on fire

This new pit looks fantastic! What are you using to model it? I had been interested in learning a little more about this and trying my hand, but not ready to invest in something like 3DSMax. Is MilkShape an option? Do we have the ability to insert new ground models into EECH or clean up some of the existing models?

Thanks

I'm using Lightwave, and with my converter that is the only thing it currently converts to EECH's object format. But I think Firebird is working on a converter for other 3D formats.

Everything is possible with enough work, we have the source. New models would however be a lot of work. Replacing existing models much less work.

I don't know. I know they usually have a map there, like this:

But obviously they can put any kind of paper they might need there. Here's a bigger picture of that diagram. Don't know what it says though, as I don't know russian.

And here it is empty. Don't know what it says here either \:\)

Well, my Russian is really pretty pathetic but I think the white insert might say "Control Rod" in the upper left and something like "Border Cards"(???), along the bottom.

Also, the empty backplate says something along the lines of, "Warning! When removing the block, be sure it's perpendicular to avoid cable damage."

Then again, I could be totally off.

"Attention! When removing the block, place the key perpendicularly to avoid cord damage."

Maybe that's better.

And "Map's border" at the bottom.

Also, not only maps ;\)

And pilot's cockpit for later versions

Cool so how is all this coming along?

anyone got anylinks to good sites for the MiL-24 which might explain in more detail the systesm, even if the site is in Russian as I can read that.

At last I have free time now and it will come along soon.

But I'm afraid that the best Mi-24 document is the "Hind"'s game manual. I've found no significant information about this copter at all. There are a lot of history and stories about this craft but no useful information. I suppose it's better to ask army men about it if you know anyone.

That's great!

Maybe XabbaRus and others ask their questions (in a different thread) about its systems and (if it is not prohibited by the LAW) your uncle will answer them?

XabbaRus, others, please? Do you have questions? It may help EE to live much more! ;\)
