Based on new photo data about the islands - it represents an Autumn season, will work in other seasons too (summer=less barren), below are shots from high, medium and low levels:

Textures are awesome, it looks great from high altitude, but I think mid and low altitudes lacks vegetation.

Is it final landscape layout? Will there be more trees and bushes?

More bushes, yes, lots more. We still need a final vegetation solution. About trees, the Falkland Islands and Patagonia region in Argentina are regions of tundra: "In physical geography, tundra is an area where the tree growth is hindered by low temperatures and short growing seasons. The term "tundra" comes from Kildin Sami tūndâr 'uplands, tundra, treeless mountain tract'. " \:\)

Besides the low weather and short growing seasons, the eastern part of the Patagonia is heavily windy, making more difficult for something bigger than a bush to grow.

Sounds great! I live far from Argentina, although I've read few books about South American countries, and I know about tundra landscape, but few more bushes would look good \:\)

This is definitely right direction. I love textures.

I have a question about terrain - is it tile, or vector based?

Sort of mix between tile and satelite textures (we call supertextures) these cover an area of 10km x 10km but there's also detail textures for low alt flying.

Will there be an occasional camel like in Jane's F-15? Will they go splat?
