MODERATORS: this is a link to a polish forum that shows ( but does not tell you HOW-TO ) the actual IL2 1946 game engine FM parameters that has been recently hacked into. If you feel that this info should not be made to our public ( although in russian forums those moderators haven't locked it ) SimHQ forum..please delete this.

Okay, for those that want to know click on this link, scroll about 1/2 way down to a picture of a chart. Although the forum and all the chatting is in polish..the chart that we are interested in is in English and represents the actual IL2 code.

Notice that you can adjust many many parameters such as Angle of Attack...Vmin ..Vmax ( FM tweaks)..strut spring stiffness.. etc.

It is a Polish forum. Funny that they mention me there..

Why do you have such an enormous energy to post and post and post these things again?
In nearly every IL2 related forum you can read things about that fact for over one year now.
It´s not new - only a few mods have been leaked to split the communities.
Thats bad enough - please don´t force it.

It´s nothing new - stop searching.
Please don´t understand this as abuse - it´s just bugging what you are doing, for me and i guess - lot of other readers here.

And actual - that link you have posted isn´t linking to a russian forum.
Learn the difference between Poland and Russia, please.

I post it because people should know, and be weary of weird and strange things they may see while flying online. Knowledge is power. Be vigilant.

As I posted in another of your threads, I guess you have anything to do with that mod leaking, do you?

People already know - and good server administrators defend their servers with checkruntime agains users of these mods.
And we know that there are several other hacks that are already in use for over one year.

Maybe it´s new for you - but not for the most.

You can´t ignore it, ok, but bringing up the topic again and again is only provoking agitation.

Here we go.....lets just say I told you so, I was aware of all this stuff previously, had hoped the re-encryption would be delivered sooner rather than later, but as I have said the mod does not only affect sound files ALL PARAMETERS can be altered.


Here's hoping that now the wider community knows Oleg and co will speed up the patch.

not yet,i havent time to spend on il2 at the moment so its not even installed,you know some of us have something better to do,than devote our lifes to a GAME!
but you can rest assured,when i do get the time,i will enjoy the illegal hack for BOTH OF US!

Nice to know what we're dealing with here.

These values are shown from the FM files and are produced using the so called SFS extraction tool, thats been around for a while. You cant just change values in these tables and hope them to take effect. I also know for a fact that these values are not absolute but modifers for other parts of the FM code.

Can anyone say they have actually seen a hacked FM/DM on line and prove it ?

I'm enjoying it. I modified one of the canned Finland missions; changed a Buffalo for a P-36 in the FMB. Mixing it up with I-16s, I-153s and LaGGs - great!

On the other hand, if Maddox had left other non-essential files unlocked, or had allowed offline edits to begin with, this would not be a problem. Maddox wanted to keep his game "pristine" and in line with his vision of things, and that is fine, but people are naturally going to try to hack codes (that is just the nature of some), and Maddox's "closed-source" attitude to any sound, visual, DM, or FM modding at all has simply exacerbated and to a certain extent legitmized that tendency.

If only Maddox would open this game what fun we could have? Just think;

New scenery
New planes
New sounds
New effects
New objects
New maps ......
