When using the SU-27 and 33 in LOMAC with a AWACS present, can i lock on to the targets detected by AWACS using the tab key without turning on my radar? Remember the old Flanker series where you can...also, does the tilde key ~ still cycle radar targets in the AWACS mode...you see, i'm not smart enough to understand the manual........thanks.

The AWACS data link in Lockon is completely different than Flanker. AWACS will give you verbal info on contacts as well as make them visible on your display. You still have to paint them with your own radar and designate them to lock them up. Not quite as good as the Flanker AWACS (which was probably unrealistic), but still a significant advantage.
EDIT: This info is in reference to the Fulcrums and Flankers only.

No problem, friend.
For further note, by "display" I mean the CRT monitor in the cockpit not the HUD. Again, its different than Flanker.

Of couse, you can use the EO mode of your IRST and lock them up silently and fire a missile with no warning. The Jedi Master

Considering the IRST's range is equal to or greater than the R-27T's range, it doesn't really matter. You wouldn't be able to fire it until you were close enough to get an EO lock yourself anyway.

Considering that LOMAC AI cheats and knows where you are and where you missles are at all times anyway, why even bother. Just use the damn radar.
