luftarchiv.de/ look for flight order under the mission briefing heading on the left side of the screen. These are Luftwaffe formations for bombers and fighters.

users.bigpond.net.au/mantis/fw/bob/fat.htm These are RAF fighter formations and interceptor tactics. These tactics are also illustrated in the book "Battle of Britain" by Richard Townsend Bickers.

I apologize if these have already been posted before. Then again it can't hurt to have a reminder.
The impression I get is that bomber formation and fighter tactics were very rigid at the start of the battle. RAF fighter tactics weren't officially made more flexible until well after the battle, though individual squadron commanders innovated from time to time.

SOW will not be complete if it doesn't include these formations and tactics. Having accurate planes and terrain is obviously important, but using the actual formations and tactics as they were used in reality would add immmeasurably to the immersion factor.
