Was thinking last night about when was RB3d released and for that matter RB2?
Seems to me that I was playing RB2, on my lowly Mac, back in 1994 but I'm not too sure.

I bought RB II (my very first flight sim) back in Jan '98. Saw it on a shelf when I was looking at aircraft models in a shop window. Didn't even own a computer back then; but I've been an aircraft nut since I was knee high to a grasshopper, so I couldn't pass it up.

From memory RB3D was released later that year.

I didn't own a PC with Internet access until Christmas of '98. I had never played a sim of any kind, but I had always loved WWI aviation. I was fascinated to hear of RB3D! What must it be like, to pilot a WWI aircraft on a computer? There were other games, too; Flying Corps, (and another, was it Dawn Patrol?). Which one was best?

I bought RB3D. And put it on my bookshelf. I was in graduate school. RB3D, sadly, must wait. When I found myself free to try it out, in the fall of 2001, I realized I had missed the game's MMP glory days. But for single-player campaigning, the best was yet to come...

Well,

The first Red Baron that i played was in 1990/91, i played on a Commadore computer, and later i played on my dos computer.

In 1997 i bought Flying Corps, and a cople of months later Flying corps Gold and Red Baron II.

Red Baron is now 17 years old, and still played by a lot of people.
And the persons who developed the game howe it is until today, it is a game that never boaring.
