Ok, it's certainly not a HOTAS, but it's better than nothing. I've just reserved it. I'm going to jump in the car now go and collect it. I'll report back after some Over G Fighters flight time.

Meanwhile here's a pic'...

Hmm, a small rubber plunger, attached to your existing wireless controller would do the same thing wouldn't it?

Well I've just returned from collecting it. Before I try it, I just thought I'd check back here. To my surprise, I see that Techno is still on form, asking the most irrelevant questions and completely missing the point, and +G is seeing the good in everything (not) and moaning as per usual.

Ok, I'm off to try it with OGF. I'll report back later, so more people can moan.

Looks like it would be good for some of the XBL Arcade games. A joystick in my left hand won't do me anymore good than a thumbstick for a flight sim.

Moan, moan, moan, moan. Is this a N.American trait? All we need next is Master to come along and moan, making the moaning trilogy complete. Why must you use it in your left hand? Why not put it on the coffee table, like I do?

Anyway, I've just tried it with OGF. The stick is 100% better than using the controller for flight sim's (well by that I mean OGF), and although it looks like its escaped from an early Atari console museum, it's surprisingly quite accurate, giving a fine level of control. The stick is to flight sim's, what the wheel is to driving sim's, in that it fills a gap that was missing and provides a much more immersing experience. It also works on the PC.

Obviously it isn't perfect, but it's a Joystick for the 360, for Gods sake. People have been moaning for one for ages, now that there is one, people are still moaning even though they haven't tried it. Well I'm glad I've bought it because I enjoy flight sim's, and as I alluded to earlier, it's far better than trying to fly an aircraft via using your thumb.

and for the record I haven't moaned about a stick for the 360. My PC is for flight sims. Maybe if Tekken 6 came out for the 360 I'd want an arcade stick but I wouldn't moan about it.

I guess I imagined this, or you've got a problem with your short term memory span...

That sounds like moaning. Complaining about something that isn't a problem. Oh and isn't this thread about a stick for the 360? Silly me, I thought that it was.

And as for...

Great for you, mine's for MS Office. What bearing that has on this discussion and why you felt that you had to slip that in, beats me?

Thanks Huey. Obviously moaning isn't a N.American trait as some people can see the good in things over there \:\)

The wheel is excellent isn't it Huey? Good build quality, and not the usual cheap plastic crap.

Moaning or giving you a "ribbing". I guess it's a UK trait to miss that ... ;-)

Moan, "I don't like GRAW with these settings, turn off the drone." Moan, "There's too many Allies and not enough Germans in COD3." Moan "Adverisement in games is wrong, boycott them." (and then plays RB6). Moan, "Paying for DLC is a rip-off" (and then buys DLC on the marketplace). Moan, "Xbox 360's are rubbish, they break all the time" (and then buys another 600 of them).

Change the record please. \:\)

Yes, it is great to see sticks finally appearing. That's the whole point of this thread.

That's not moaning Hengist. That joystick is obviously designed to be used with your left hand on the stick which is normal for arcade style sticks. To ME it would be great for the arcade titles or if the 360 had a good fighting game instead of a button mashing boob physics engine. It wouldn't work for ME for flight sims because the buttons are one the right side of the stick so to fly with my right hand I'd have to do some sort of arm origami to launch a missile.

My point was I've never said that I wanted a stick for the 360 because it has no games that require a stick, so I've never "moaned" about the lack a stick for the 360. I mentioned my PC because I've already spent tons of money on flight sim peripherals that mimic the set up in modern fighter plane.

Sheesh!
