This weeks quick update, I've placed the AML90 armored car in the flightsim engine so we can test soon with moving ground objects - these armored vehicles driving around Port Stanley - still some collision/physics issues happening but they will be fixed or perfected for sure:

In the programming front, the code is passing thru a major overhauling, with port from VisualStudio6 to Visual studio8 and in a more object-oriented manner, enabling quicker and better integration of new features.

It's a shame I'm just going to be blowing that guy up from 10,000 feet!

Edit - seriously, though, if it's not too much, you might want to add some elementary first-person-shooter elements. With such a detailed environment, it seems like the graphics engine should be "good enough". Of course, I'm not sure how that'd work with the vast world within the sim. Falcon does this with "bubbles", outside of which, things are treated statistically. If you guys could drag in even 10% of the crowd that plays FPS, with the hook that you're offering "combined ops" (the flight sim), you guys could clean up. And more $$ = more flight sims and add-ons for us jet simmers, who of course, are the only ones that really matter. \:D

Ha! 10k is even outside my comfort zone. The newer IR manpads in Falcon can hit you at 15k. If I'm at 1k, I'm usually in the mountains and really fast. I suppose with the era simulated here, though, I should be okay. No SA-11/14/15/17/19's. Maybe just a few SA-7's or first-gen Stingers. I have no idea what Argentine forces were equipped with, but I imagine I'll learn pretty fast once this comes out and I bite the dust a few times.

Well Roland was the Argentine SAM of choice. There are at least 2 documented cases of Brit Harrier pilots trying to Outclimb a Roland launch.. ?? the thought that they could beat the missile to its theoretical max alt boundary .. ?? trouble was theory doesn't always = reality !

Dubious Missile evasion technique anyway.

why bother wasting time and machine resources for something you will barelly notice even if you fly low. i just think you should round more the edges of what appears to be the seashore dante.
excelent job! btw the colision problem you meantioned, did the car run trough that brown wall?

Yes, the tank run through stuff, and other glitches, to sum up, our internal colision physics system isn't reliable enough, so we're in the proccess of integrating a third party SDK system to handle it, so far the results are encouraging.

Slowly but surely eh!

Airplanes are now built to carry a pilot and a dog in the cockpit: the pilot's job is
to feed the dog, and the dog's job is to bite the pilot if he touches anything...
