I stopped reading at the word "consoles" in the first paragraph. I won't play a tactical shooter on a console. I tried it and that platform sucks for tactical shooters.

Aha, I now see what's happened. Well all I can say, for the record, is...

We seem to have 2 posts here now in this forum? The one that I posted in the Tom Clancy forum, seems to have been moved to here, despite there being a thread here already. I guess that SimHQ Clancy fans, from the Clancy forum, who don't own a console, or indeed who are thinking about purchasing a console, don't really need to know about a new Clancy title? That's why it's been moved, it all makes perfect sense now. I wish I'd thought of that before I went to the trouble of initially posting the news in the Clancy forum. I'll remember this, the next time I want to participate in the community and share some news that I've heard with SimHQ.

Another suggestion. It might be best to post console specific game thread topics here first (as you did, no problem), but just link to the article that's here, in the other forums.

Now the point you've made is valid, that maybe people would be interested in the franchise outside this forum, and it's a valid point. I think there will be people interested. However given the view of consoles by some of the other un-enlightened folks on here (ie. negative viewpoints), putting a link to an existing thread here, might help cut down the flaming.

That way they know a) it's a console specific thread and b) can choose to ignore it.

Hengist, maybe you should consult with Stormtrooper via PM if you have a problem with him. Or just write to 20mm or guod like he suggested. I suspect the problem is a misunderstanding but your reaction, at least as I perceive it, is not normally like you.

Sometimes communicating offline solves problems, smart comments that appear 'funny' often just create animosity.
