Hey there, just to let you all know, I've made a sound mod for LB2. It replaces nearly all of the sounds... weapons, explosions, vehicles, warning tones.

It is not uploaded yet, however, because I want to see the response I get. Do y'all want it!?
Right now, you don't deserve it!

I agree with Shadow (darn it!!!)

But at the same time I applaud anyone's mod efforts, especially when they share them.
(as long as its a legal IP mod, I dont like breaking IP laws.)

If we ever crack the nut on reskinning the a/c, ill be all over that.
I reskin my FalconAF and IL2 a/c to my own likings.

We'd be in the best condition if we could figure out how the heck the modeling system works and had our hands on the source code.

I would download it if I could get the Game to work on XP PRO SP2

Read the two sticky note threads on this forum.

Most of us are using WinXP SP2 with LB2 v209e.

Comes down to following the directions closely and downloading the necessary glide driver.

No, none of the voices are changed... hell, that would take forever and a day! Besides, they are unbeatable... they p*ss all over EECH! The explosion sounds ARE different, but you can simply delete the corresponding sound files and they should revert back to the originals.

I'm liking the attention, keep it coming and I will probably upload the mod next week!

Please do upload it. Like AV8R says, any effort towards modding at any level is highly welcomed.

Well, people, your luck is in! I have decided to upload the sound mod earlier than originally stated! I've just made some final adjustments and stuff...

About 80% of the sounds are new/modified. The other 20 odd percent are rarely used by the game. The overall feel of the game is quite different now, I think. Give me some feedback on it.

Some of my favorite new sounds are: the M60, the Kiowa gun pod, small arms fire, Abrams main gun echo, warning tones, explosions and impact hits.
