Very good. I assume that it's the English version, right?

I've got no problem with a UK version!

Hmmm. US gets UK version before UK does? Very curious. Not released here until 16/02/07.

We're not getting that version until Feb 26 or so. That's 10 days after UK release.

I'm glad GoGamer is gonna import it. A really great bunch of folks to deal with. I've been very happy with their service and responsiveness.

Now, that being said, how about some info on the Crappy Protection! scheme used by 505, if any. I just want to know what hoops I'm going to have to jump thru in advance.

With that, Capt Nixer is signing off for a couple of days, 90 days on my boat today...R & R is in order.

I'm also wondering about the form of protection. If nothings heard within the next few days I see no harm in trying finding the companys phone number and simply asking.

Actually I prefer the UK version of games. They come in nice DVD cases.

Wasn't impressed with the demo. Hopefully they get it all together for the final release.

So is anyone preordering ArmA or are you taking a "wait and see" position and see how other people like it first? I have not even played the demo, but I like the screenshots, the game description and the MP game options.

There is no doubt that I will be getting it but I may end up waiting to see what other people say. I am sure it will be a blast to play online and we will have a lot of people interested around here.

I could not wait and purchased the german version. Patched it up to the latest version and added the English patch as well. Though my current machine struggled on all options maxed at 1600x1200 res. I could easily scale it down to be playable with eye candy! This game does have some flaws and some still come from the times of OPF but overall it is a blast to play! It is a dream come true for all sim heads (military air, tanks, boats, cars, civilian, etc.), it is a true sandbox simulation that you can do what you please and your limitation is your imagination! This game is not for everyone (specially quake boys/girls, though you can make it so if you please), it is geared more towards the serious players. I can see this game take much of my limited play time just like the original OPF did years back.

I'll be getting the English version. I'll also likely just get the UK version and not wait for a US one.
