I would use the EVE-forums. There are quite a few ready ship fitting guides that you can experiment with. Still working on my Harpy and how to fit it

If you made it all the way to bein able to fly a dictor, you should also be able to think up a nice setup for it, right?
Small long range guns all the way i'd say, and then some passive tanking stuff to go with that. In mids tracking computers to make shure you hit the frackers long before they are able to shoot back.
Experiment a little, have a few duels with a corp buddy. have fun

about the SABRE.. i found that 250 was the way to go.. but i have manythings to do.. like getting isk so i havent tried much...

The sabre has a pretty damn well-defined niche. It is made to drop bubbles on gates. Thats what it does best. All other things, there are other ships that do them better, including frig massacre.

I just started a 14 day trial account over the weekend and I really can't believe how huge Eve is. I am the tiniest of fish in the largest of ponds. How many SimHQers play it?

Been there for over a year, started just when SWG went haywire with their "amazing NGE". That place is hostile and unfriendly if you bump into wrong neighbourhood. But even so EVE is one of the best MMO's I've played.

For new players I would suggest roaming forums at EVE's official homepage to check the background stories of each race and so forth, check character creation and attribute distribution. This helps a lot later when you have a character suitable for what you are going for.

Only downside so far in EVE are these "because I can pop you and killmail hoeing" guys. But they are so far the minority, luckily. So please press Connect and enjoy the ride, in space no-one hears you scream...

I've been around EVE since the beta days (early '03) but my current main char is only about 6 months old.
