Many years ago, when I lived in New York, I had the pleasure of meeting Robert Johnson at an air show. He was there with the Thunderbolt Pilots Association. He was a terrific guy and didn't mind answering all the questions we were throwing at him. He also showed us a picture that, up to that time, had never been shown to the public. He kept it in his wallet. It was a photo of his Jug, "Lucky." He was standing on the wing, and was pointing to the planes' nose art...a painting of a big hand flippin' the bird. I'm pretty sure that picture has since been published in some books. I remember that I really got a kick out of the fact that he was a little guy like me, about 5'6'' or so. Made me feel a lot better! Lol! I was really sorry to read that he had passed away.
"From our orbital vantage point, we observe an earth without borders, full of peace, beauty and magnificence, and we pray that humanity as a whole can imagine a borderless world as we see it, and strive to live as one in peace."
