I hope 'Storm of War' fullfiles most of my wishes.

1. Graphics that meet following requirements:
Graphics that are great to look at but not so detailed as to limit the number of planes in the air.
Good medium distance views
Provide the possibility to look around the realistic fat cockpit frames so as not to make the
game-play unrealistically difficult?
Don't use 90% of the PC power only to be able to show good screenshots

2. Ability to field large bomber formations.

3. Heaps of AIs if wanted in sweeps, FFAs, intercepts, interdictions and bombing missions

4. Great online play capabilities

5. Flight Models/Damage Models tried and tested in online battles.

6. An icon system that provides following:
a 'without icons playable middle distance plane graphic'
ability to adjust the size of the icons (don't want the planes covered by a fat icon)
choose the number of icons showing up at the same time (one or two is enough)
an icon system that doesn't make my game looking like a 1980s game

7. A view system that provides following:
all sorts of view with being able to set the distance of the views -
a 'behind the players plane' view with the axis about 6 feet behind the seat
don't stick me with a default I can't change or have to reset each time.
just have to have 'player to target' padlock
provide the option for a set of online players a restricted view set

8. A file managing ability available where players can agreed to a scenario chosen from over many
combinations that can be set up in chat in seconds, with guaranteed online compatibility

9. A modeler component that lets modelers do the following:
a) create their own ground-started missions available for flying online in real time in European,
Russian, Mediterranean and South East Asian theatres
b) ability to create new and varied aircraft
c) improve Flight Models/Damage Models
d) ability to create skins for the planes
e) ability to create all sorts of landscapes and ground objects

10 Voice communication among online pilots that can set up "friendly" and "enemy" rooms on the server before going off to battle so that the radio chat during the battle is "secure".

This is one of my pet peeves in Il2, but early screenshots from BoB look promising since the frames look thinner.

This has already been confirmed. BoB will use a much more CPU-efficient system for AI aircraft.

See above. I'm very happy that we will finally have realistic sized air battles (squadron on squadron = 40+ aircraft).

Here we will respectfully disagree.

An open FM/DM will find SoW: BoB sent to the shelf and uninstalled.

I'm an online kind of guy, and the last thing I want is to endure three or four FM's and DM's - assuming they're secure within servers and not apt to individual "improvements."

Been there, done that, had the fun sucked right out of a flight simulation.

Since it's been said that 6DoF will be supported the cockpit bar situation is a moot point, unless it's an unmappable command for non-6DoF users.

On 6-DoF.. I'm glad to hear its included, great to be able to 'look around' the cockpit frame if its obscuring your view of a target/wingman etc...
But having used it extensively in FS 2004, and BoBII, I don't believe having a clickable cockpit is so essential... Tried employing it in a combat situation and its not reliable or fast enough to operate aircraft controls when split seconds count.
So if we have a 6DoF ability in SoW it will be a big plus, but if they leave out a full clickable cockpit it won't be a great loss... Just my thoughts!

Regards... Dave S.

One simple request for FMB:

-Ability to start from parking area In offline missions like in dogfights.

And one for campaign:
-Variety and wear for all the planes. I mean there are small differences in planes performance of the same type AND they are tracked troughout campaign! So if you overrev/burn an engine, it will be less efficient in the future. And they are much more likely to fail under continuous stress. All kinds of mechanical failures are much much welcome.

This would enable following situations: you are to start with 8 planes into Freie Jagd mission, but you have only 5 top-notch planes left, so you select few "suspicious" planes too. One fails to start at all -> seven planes take-off. After climbing for a five minutes, a wingman (or you) notices oil pressure dropping so he aborts the mission and returns to base to put the plane into maintenance thus leaving only six to carry out the mission.
