Oleg: I think players should upgrade their PC after the release of Storm of War: The Battle of Britain, but not now. Minimum system would be probably like last year good system for IL-2 series.

What was a good system for IL2 last year? 6800GT and an AMD64 of some flavour or am I off the mark?
I think that estimate is a bit high. A 2,8-3GHz (32-bit) machine with a 6600GT or equivalent, or maybe even a Radeon 9800, is probably more like it.

But it's all quite fuzzy since we don't know exactly what he means by

minimum (absolute minimum? recommended minimum?)

and

good system (good enough system? really good system?).

I think the general message is that you shouldn't upgrade until after the game is out.

Agreed.

I have a 2.6 P4, 1 GB RAM and a 6800GS 256M and can run PF/AEP/IL2 just fine at fairly high settings.

Oleg and Co. have always been better at optimizing graphics performance than some of their Russian brethren.

I will wait and try it before I panic.
