Just wondering now that the next phase will cost money, is there any delivery method setup, living down here we tend to have to pay out rather large amounts and am sorta a bit concerned that while the gamers in USA won't mind the cost we that are elsewhere might all of a sudden be paying out bigger money

This is one of the main reasons I never bothered with FS9, all the good stuff was just to rich for my poor ole wallet \:\(

I'm pretty sure I saw a post by Winding Man
that they were going to charge just enough to
cover expenses. I think it may be only for the
CD and shipping.

Even if it is payware, with electronic delivery, there is no reason why software should cost any more in any country really.

What you will get is variations in cost for packaged shelf sold type CD/DVD software. You are seeing import, taxation and store mark-up effects. A shop will squeeze as much out of a product as the market will bear.

This...whether they choose to charge or not, isn't really a commercial money making enterprise. I think it is more a question of covering the costs of making CD's, sending them out and supporting the OFF website.

I cant understand the "not getting FS9" because of the addons cost.
A quick trip over to Flightsim.com, and see the freeware quality...there is no need to go for payware (much of which is way over-rated imho)

However, the same cannot be said of OFF

If they have to use/ship CDs and such, anyone who wants a copy SHOULD have to pay for it. That only makes sense.

I don't want to give the OFF team any ideas, but to get the complete OFF, all three phases, patched and everything, on a DVD, I'd pay full retail price for it. I think almost all of us would. All this work by the team deserves a reward, but that would probably get them into serious legal trouble because this is a modification of a game owned by someone else, namely the behemouth of Redmond, Washington, aka Microsoft.

Yes, I would pay for a full, patched, 3phase DVD too.

I've never played a sim I've paid for that is as good as this.
So, if the full 3 phase sim costs like other sims, fair enough.
Don't agree with bank transfer, though. The banks charge high for that. If i sent a cheque I don;t mind waiting till it's cleared etc and the team has my funds before despatching the DVD.
