For those fans of a certain Russian attack helo... new in game technology videos... http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=16855 Just watched the videos that were released... I can't believe how much they showed! For those wondering about what kind of depth will be modeled... this will give a great idea.

Wow...indeed it is. That is definitely a full-blown start-up procedure. I'd love to see a cockpit map of the switches and systems locations...it doesn't seem to be the *most* ergonomic/efficient cockpit setup in the world. Perhaps the logical grouping of switches occurs for pre-flight, start-up, then actual flight and combat. But if you are going to model it..model it like it is..and it looks like Black Shark is incredible! I love that MFD thing on the right with all the data entry capability...a button-pusher's dream (and for someone eager to do training mission reports..!)
The in-flight attack video is superb too. The targets struck me as being a bit passive though. I mean..after the first missile hit..I would think the others would either blind fire or at least move or disperse.. Unless it was just a targeting and systems demo...without any real defensive actions...
Super stuff..can't wait!

Even the reflections of the center CRT move with the TIR 6DOF.
This is a generation away from other sims. Wow.
Ill get a TIR4 with 6DOF when this baby comes out, and retire my TIR3.
Im curious though... Does 6DOF affect the HUD to eye alignment and gunnery accuracy?

There is no way I'll have the time to learn THAT startup procedure....lol.
One word...wow!
Ooops, second word...scalability (hopefully).

In addition to a full ramp start, missions can also be started with most systems up and running with a "runway" start.
As had been stated elsewhere, English tool tips are provided and the ABRIS system can display all texts in English if so desired.

You can learn the startup procedure pretty quick, actually. You'll also learn to use the ABRIS quickly as well.
If you find that the manual isn't helping you with it, then by all means, jump on TS and find someone willing to run you through the procedure.
All of that is in the future of course.

Stunning videos guys thanks!
Please no flaming here but.. Before I get too excited, could someone in the know please answer a couple of questions?
Are -all- the features shown in these videos (The Battle Simulator) going to be implemented in the general public release of Black Shark or just snippets of certain elements?
If the 'Battle Simulator' is indeed 'a line of professional products' (thier distintction) I really cant see many of these features getting anywhere near a general public release.
I hope I'm wrong but it is strange to see videos released (thank you btw) from a feature set we might never see (ie 'based on" etc)
Just how different are these two simulators?

For what was displayed in the two videos, there is no difference between TBS and Black Shark.
