Hi guys can somebody tell me whats the best way to open a server using a router , I do have a belkin router with all ports open but my IP is dynamic and I want to know if I can change that by going to local area conection/properties/internet protocol(TCP/IP)and then asing a specific IP?
I am no sure about this, some people get conected with me having a CTD ...... \:\(

I've never had any luck hosting with my router. I can join other's, but to host I've always had to disconnect the router. I know this doesn't help you much, just my experience. \:\(

I think opening port 10308 (or was it 10380) is enough. At least, that's all I had to do.

Yes forward ports 10308 UDP and TCP to your PCs IP(not your internet ip). Now for your internet IP there is a service on the internet somewhere that allows you to have a fixed IP over the net. But I've forgotten what the service is called.

It's called hamachi. Do a google for it. It's a very good virtual lan program. I use it for Falcon 4af, used it once with another player in lockon, but had to do it with the lan connection instead of internet . But we kept getting ctd's or drops after a few minutes.

Thats what I was refering too, couldn't think of the name. BTW Hamachi is no good, keeps dropping player conncections if more than two.

OK guys I will try that , I know that there are some places that can tell me my current IP static address. Dont know if I should set that temporary Ip address in my Internet protocol tcp/ip ?
