The company you found is indeed the one handling the distribution of the new disks. I called them earlier and asked if I can come buy and pick my copy up. The girl I talked to, who happened to be the one from the email, told me it was mailed out on the 8'th and that being in Charlotte, I should get it today. If not give her a call back and we could work something out. Seemed nice enough.

I drove by the place on the way home and it looked like a normal mail distribution business.

When I got home the disk was there. I reloaded the game using the new disk and all appears well.

I'm in NY. Hopefully I'll see mine this week.

Did it require you to enter an activation key or did it just install/run from the cd? Thanks!

I just installed the game and started it with disk 2 in the drive. After a check that lasted a few seconds, the game started. No code entry was required.

Got my disc in the mail today. Uninstalled and reinstalled just to be sure. New disc worked as advertised. Initial Starforce disc check took less than 10 seconds. Good to go.

Anyone in CA get it yet?

Hello again Spyfence sorry to bother you. Did you have to install the network fix and the LOD patch?

I'll answer for him, you don't want to install those stutter fixes, IT WILL SCREW UP YOUR GAME! Lock On Gold already has the network fix and the LOD patch along with the seasonal pack.

I noticed in the lockon.ru site that they do say DO NOT INSTALL THE NETWORK STUTTER PATCH but it does not say the same for the LOD patch.

Got mine today. Worked perfectly. At least they mailed out the fixed discs pretty quickly.

I was also reading that the LOD patch and NETWORK patch will be included in the next patch. Hopefully this doesn't do anything to the game.

Oh and by the way I received my 2nd cd replacement yesterday.

Yea i asked that on the lockon.ru forum and they said the patch will not damage the game for lock on gold or the other cd versions.

I received my replacement disc today and it is doing the samething as the first one. It just sits at the install screen. I hear my drive going, but nothing happens. Has anyone had this problem. I e-mailed them back, but they haven't answered me yet. This is getting frustrating.

Emailing the creativecms email wont do any good. They are just a shipping company http://www.creativecms.com. They know nothing about them game. You're just barking up the wrong tree.

It's probably time to email SF and have them check it out. If you know of someone else with Lockon gold try to see if it will start on their machine. that way you can rule out your computer as the source of hte problem.

hey what did you guys did with the defective cd? They told me to throw it away...uhh...that kinda sounds radical doesn't it? Well...before i do throw it away I want to know what did everyone else do with it after recieving their new lock on gold in the mail?

rssmps is correct, if possible try it on another machine. I bought two copies, and one would only work in a non-combo drive. The other would work on either machine.
