Lots of "In crowd winks" still no answer to my simple question.

When is this sim due to be released

Also please clarify the official name for this WWI sim as there are so many Knights this, Gentlemen that, Wings the Other, vapourware titles flying around.

Bottom line:

What is the OFFICIAL name of this WWI sim.

What is the OFFICIAL release date of this sim.

After nearly ten years of promises about WWI sims and all sorts of bullsheeeit vapourware development promises all I want is the SIMPLE answers to my questions.

P.S. Groovy, super-duper, so called "development" shots, don't count as confirmed information unless backed up with convincing proof that this is a real live sim development with guaranteed publication from a respected company as opposed to virtual one.
If no concrete, credible answers are forth coming, I suggest the mods lock this down as so far I see no definitive answers(lots of eye candy though) that convince me this is a real programme with actual financial backers and publishers.
Crucify me if you want .....

BTW... no-one wants a WWI sim more than me

No ones getting at you Wulfy, well maybe just a bit \:\)

When you've been following the flightsim scene for a good while you get used to very long development cycles, then some more cycles, then some more development and so on.

You can't compare the output of large dev teams seen in general gaming sometimes with the small teams that produce flight sims currently. All you can do is sit back, chill, maybe open a beer and wait.

If that were the standard for every thread, I doubt we'd get past three responses in anything around here!

...and with the TOS on copyrighted materials, we don't even get most of the eye candy!

The opinions of this poster are largely based on facts and portray a possible version of the actual events.

If to be simple - when there will be enough of official things to tell - i will;)
Yet, you can find all the details about sim in this thread/gennadich.com website.
Everything we post (yet) - is just a WIP of our work and there is two ways - the first way is we can post it, so everyone can quote/look/discuss/etc. and the second one - we dont post enything before official announce.

So you have many "ways" to choose ;\)

Like the WIP shots, and they can take all the time they need, just get it right. A WWI sim has been long overdue, look at Olegs SOW, not much shown about it, and they have been working on it for years, so it should be stunning when released. I expect KOTS to be as well, keep them coming VikS.

Hey Guys,

While we wait for this week's Knights of the Sky update, check out these Adobe PDF files about the making of the Flyboys movie, the history of the Lafayette Escadrille, and notes on WWI's Air War.

Enjoy!

The Fokker Dr.I gets it's "new clothes" (factory finished streak-camouflage texturing).
