Hey what happened to the jstows? I really liked those things in the old F4. AF is great been playing for about a week. Does anybody else have problems with the tower telling you to go around or excute missed approach repeatedly even when no other air craft are in the area? I hate that "partial success" crap.

Did you patch your install to v1.09? Because I haven't seen that problem for some time, one of the patches cleared up ATC aborting you on final.

You do have these, if you fly the B-52. Something like 1500 miles range, somewhat unpredictable in whether or not they'll hit the target, but fun nonetheless.

Er... you're thinking of CALCMs Trav_R. Not the same animal at all. This discussion is on the AGM-154

If you guys want to "play" with JSOWs in AF, have multiple installs and patch one of them to 1.05. The F16E-XL carried these (6 per A/C), and if deployed properly could destroy an entire column with two shots. (not modelled accurately at all, but fun nonetheless)

Yes due to the air burst bug JSOW in 1.06 and later patches don't work at all. They are no different then mavericks, destroying one target per shot. However FMs in 1.06 are much better.

Oh right Trav_R I still have to reply that thread @ FW.

Are JDAMS, JSOWS or JAASM's modelled correctly in any version of F4 to date?

Thanks -
Paul

TW: to date, NONE of the JSOW/JDAM/JAASM munitions are modelled correctly for AF. Never were, I have doubts they will be. Suits me fine, I'm happy to fly online using the other "conventional" munitions...

To expand upon what Shadowman said, the JSOW/JDAM are not correctly modelled in any version of F4. They operate exactly like Mavericks, even including a rocket motor on the unpowered glide bombs.

No, but they're modeled very well in Jane's F/A-18 \:D

JDAMs in OF are good enough for me.
By JSOW doesn't work, I mean the air burst bug made them even won't work like the way they are supposed to as a large mav.

Thanks -
Paul
