You havn't been wingtip to wingtip and both host and client or client to client see each other from the same clock positions. Also, you have not seen the instantaneous pitch/roll/yaw responses from a near flying aircraft.

There are nothing wrong with heaters, only how the user employs them.
Ok you flown my plane for me and see what I see.... Relax Dude ... As I said the Performace is related to the PC also ...... Come sit at My PC in 1.06 in a server and you will see what it does ..1.06 Smooth sailing for me......Let's not flame this topic.... I just stated what my PC is doing ...Obviously my PC is to a diffrent spec then yours ....

The smooth close formation flying is something new in 1.07 and much wanted. It is not "machine-dependant" as it is a net-code problem in the software that they have resolved.
In the past, when flying close like this over the internet, you and your wingman will appear to bounce around slightly and as you get closer it gets even worse. This still happens even in 1.06 presently.
1.07 looks to have solved this long-standing issue.
Great work LP.

AF Thunderbirds can concur on this as being present in 1.06. Thank god they fixed the net-code problem for flying very close together without the other plane appearing to "vibrate" all over the place.
Thanks LP.

And very importantly, with the new positioning improvements, the positions of aircraft relative to each other correspond exactly to each other too.

Hey Threep,

Any word on the movie crashing MP servers fix? Will this be included in 1.07?

C3P0,

Your comments:

"And very importantly, with the new positioning improvements, the positions of aircraft relative to each other correspond exactly to each other too."

Does 1.07 address or improve air-to-air refueling?

Bill

No changes to refuelling ... other than that the improved positional updates should make tanking a little easier.

I'd love to know what people are using to capture in flight videos. My ATI All-In-Wonder 9800 has video out, maybe via that?

FRAPS. This video was externally captured to another machine, hence the slight degradation in quality..but at the benefit of no hit to the machine actually doing the flying.

However, the nice chap that recorded this has a nice rig and recorded another video with 4ships while locally capturing with fraps, and had much greater quality, and only a slight hit in frame rates by comparison to this video.

Ahh I didn't know you could use FRAPS to capture video on a second machine.

That's the point. In patch 1.06 it is quite smooth from your perspective already. The above is an improvement ontop of how smooth it looks from your pit in 1.06.

that was a real beautiful video. How do you get your plane to move like that?

I feel like a slow brick in the air whenever I play... an easy target if you will... but maneuvering like that, that would change things alot!

They are not using the standard 3D cockpit for this video, so changing graphic settings won't help. If this video is from AF I wish they would share the 3D cockpit with us.

Thanks for the info! Yes, it would be nice if the owner of the nice looking 3D pit would share it with us!
