I tried aim 9x on a Block 50 CCIP on Korea 2005 and I cannot make it work.

-Master Arm On
-Missile Uncaged
-Target Padlocked (I have read padlock is needed,
not only puting the HMS target designator
over target)
The heat seeker tone don't raise, no matter what aspect/range is the target, and if I shoot the missile, it goes ballistic.
I tried on slave and bore modes with same result.

If I try to launch a caged aim-9x missile on slave mode with a radar lock, the tone raises and the missile kills the targets as expected.

What do I do wrong??

Sorry, for maybe a stupid question, but what do u mean with "Sidewinder Growl"??? (I know the aim-9 is known as sidewinder)

Growl is the tone.

Are you sure that you are close enough to the target for the seeker to pick it up? You can also goto ACM mode the boresight and lock the target with your radar, close with the target and see if the tone changes. Watch your range circle if you have it locked with the radar that way you know you are within range.

You are uncaging the missile too soon.

Also note that you have to be in either the Virtual Cockpit or Padlock view to get the helmet-mounted missile reticle.

Also note that it does not currently work with track-IR.
