I can't even get the exe working.
I've got 750 mb left on the drive. The exe gives me an option to skip rollback and when I click yes, it just takes me back to the initial screen. So I click on install again, it asks again if I want to disable rollback.

-------------------------

OK, deleted fiels to get around the yes button issue. Now, I can get in ok, but after I hit fly, it just hangs at hte splash screen.

Working perfectly.

Had to reassign the throttle though.

Any mirrors available Joel? The linked is non-accessible, presumably due to volume. Thanks.

If you have installed using the autoupdater and are having problems, please uninstall, reinstall, and then patch to 1.04 using the exe download.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Just got the patch from the mirror, downloaded and installed without problems. Had to re-detect my stick's throttle, otherwise everything went smooth. So far works perfectly fine for me, thanks LP!

Wow, I had a bad day yesterday, just one where nothing seemed to go right. Ever had one of those days?

I d/l'ed the patch exe, set my terrain to stock via HiTiles exe, ran the patch. Halfways through it asked me for the CD, which I thought was unusual, I don't recall the other patches doing that. I finally found it, plugged it in, the install continued.

It finished up, I put HiTiles back in, winter season. Started AF up, checked my settings, resolution to 1600x1200, everything else looked fine, and ran a landing mission. CTD.

I ran four other stock TE's, CTD every time. No Dr. Stops, only HiTiles.

Guess I'll uninstall and reinstall tonight, assuming I have time from my other "project", one that's giving me fits.

From all the valued posts, it would appear the prudent uninstall/reinstall/patch is the best course of action.

Yeah, I had to reinstall/patch it get it to work for me. Also my joystick now doesn't work the same. It's the Microsoft ForceFeedback2 and there is no tension whatsoever in Falcon. This wasnt the case prior to patching, so I'm guessing it's something to do with the 1.04 patch. Surprised me as I saw "force feedback should be back" in the changelog for 1.04, heh. Anyone else have this?

Patch appears to have installed w/o CTD probs. But it saved my campaign and deleted my logbook (thought it was supposed to happen the other way around)? Also it won't take a password while I try to set up another profile, it just keeps prompting me to re-enter it and when I do, it doesn't accept it so I have to cancel out...

I had to un-install the whole shebang and then re-install the whole shebang, and now i can't carry the same ordanace i'm used to, i.e. AGM 65D / 88...........
I hope the good points of the update out weigh the changes i WASN'T expecting.

I believe this is a realistic change.

I have never seen a Patch that requires a complete delete and full reinstall, what`s up with that ???

BTW : With an un-install of that size will it require a Defrag of the HD as well before re-installing ??

So what's the verdict? Should I download this patch or stay as is. I'm completely new to this sim and I don't have anything else installed other than the other two patches. Please help.

Then you have not been around long... This is quite common. Not standard mind you, but it happens often enough.

of course you should path...just a matter of how.
All the previous patches have been pain free.

I think remove/reinstall/patch is the safest way to go. WAIT!!! this sure reminds me of the "dance." \:D
