  • To cancel Dogfight or MRM override modes, press [c].
  • To activate nosewheel steering, press [Shift+\].
  • The key command for the Idle Detent Switch is [ALT+i], not [SHIFT+i] as stated in the manual. The idle detent switch can also be activated by clicking on the left-hand pinky on the throttle grip.
  • Radar Contact flashing red? What it means... - Dead Link need updated information if available
  • You see a black screen when launching F4AF and the Intro movie is not visible. - Fix located HERE
  • My Weapons loadout and/or TacRef screen is black, HELP! Issue is with ATI/ nVidia and Anti-Aliasing. Read how to fix the issue HERE!
  • Fly any aircraft in Campaign, TE or Dogfight.
  • Takeoff Timeout, being bumped back to UI.

Quote:
Allowed modifications are:

  • Models and Model Textures
  • Terrain Textures
  • Tactical Engagements / Training Missions
  • Documentation
  • ACMI
  • Squadron Patches / Pilot Pictures
  • User created content originating from and created by the FalconAF executable

If approved, they'll be distributed via the autoupdater. We hope everyone understands that a centralized and organized system of modifications is the only way forward. We cannot stress enough that Lead Pursuit remains totally committed to maintaining the highest levels of stability in both single player and multiplayer, and of course maintaining levels of realism too.

People wishing to submit modifications need to download the TPAA form from our downloads section, fill it in appropriately and send it back to us via fax only at +1 512 275 3808.

We're confident this is a great way for community developers to become engaged in the simulation and start to get those creative juices flowing once again. We're also gathering questions on the TPAA to prepare a FAQ so that everyone has access to the questions and answers so they too can participate in this opportunity to make their mark on Falcon 4.0: Allied Force. Please email questions to tpaa@lead-pursuit.com.

Known Bugs:
  • The key command for the Idle Detent Switch is ALT+i, not SHIFT+i as stated in the manual.
  • CTD when using easy avionics and a contact leaves the radar display
  • Intro movie is not visible sometimes when certain antialiasing levels are enabled - Fix located HERE
  • Cockpit mouse cursor disappears when antialiasing is enabled
  • Keyboard commands for rudder may not work when a joystick rudder axis is present

Known Issues:
  • TrackIR functionality in the 2D cockpit is odd. A good solution to avoid TrackIR use in the 2D cockpit is to pause/disable the TrackIR in 2D and unpause/enable it in 3D; this can be accomplished in a single button press with a programmable joystick or HOTAS.
  • Additional NICs must be disabled when flying multiplayer on a PC with more than one network interface

Novice,

That Radar tutorial you have listed is pretty nice for those of us still needing to "paint by numbers" so to speak hehe.

Did'nt see any links or who it was made by though and was wondering if there where any more?

Additional NIC's must be disabled
Otherwise you will have connection issues as a client and the game will stutter horribly as a host.

What WW2 Fighter pilots say about Angels and Airspeed:

"Nice job of getting down to the basics - love your choice of a cover!" Col. Clarence 'Bud' Anderson

"I have enjoyed reading angels and airspeed, it should prove good reading for all interested in combat tactics and their application related to the fluid air environment and state of technology in WWII years. All the best as you make it available." - Col. Charles McGee - Tuskegee Airman

NEVER ENGAGE STUPID.

No community mods allowed.

Also, when can we expect an update on the modification policy? \:\)

Maybe one should add a word or two about the "hidden" Idle-detent-switch under the left finger in the panel with the throttle. It isn't mentioned in the manual.

I finally remembered to link this thread (and it took me a while to find it!)

If you're interested in campaign management, depending on how hands-on you want to get, this thread is an excellent resource. My thanks to all the contributors herein:
