Is there an "instructor" that is supposed to talk you through each training mission? If so how do you turn him/her/anyone on?

If not I guess its back to reading the PDF instructions, taking notes, and back to the game?

thanks
scpd755

P.S. Finally landed without setting off every warning light in the cockpit!!!!!!!!

I'm afraid, it's just you and your PDF file

Just a thought...get a friend and link up on MP over a LAN or the Internet...one of you talk through the checklist and the other execute. The one talking can use the combat autopilot to keep them *in the mission* while the other flies. Team Speak or Ventrilo voice software would just help a lot too if you're at separate locations.... The MP is much easier now with AF and there are many possibilities.

enjoy flying...

what i did for each training mission was read the whole training mission section of PDF, then start game run the mission. if i failed to go it right, would close the game..reread the "instructor" part of mission, then try it again.

I have been able to open the pdf first with Adobe. Go to the section on the particular training mission. Minimize it.

Open F4AF and start the particular training mission. Freeze. Then hit Alt-Tab and I mean hit and hold down Alt, then press Tab. It seems to need a definate ALT press and hold THEN the tab key to switch windows and put you into Adobe where you can review the mission.

Or find a friend who knows how to fly (IRL or in Falcon) to teach you the ropes, just like having a flight instructor in the cockpit! \:\)

Hi all,

I am new to these forums and have a question regarding training... sort of. I didnt want to start a new thread so I am using an existing one that could fit my question.

I am very interested in ramp starts and have tried a number of times, but I am having trouble with locating the Idle Detent switch. I can get the engines to spin up over 20% and then I increase throttle to 50%. Then I try to locate the Idle Detent switch but I cant seem to find it. Can someone give me a description of where it is located on the left aux console? Thank you in advance for your help.

Alt I or the hook/lever on the left side of your virtual throttle.
