Just doing a bit of research on a rainy day. This Masterpilot is cheap, but it looks pretty old, as Janes F-15 was still new when it came out. Anybody ever use it? Anybody still using it? Would the thing even run on a Win XP system? http://www.cablesunlimited.com/products/Prod_Individual3.aspx?groupcode=I0869 Here is a guy that actually inserted an LCD monitor in the middle of the thing -- pretty cool, I thought. http://pookie-web.dyndns.org:61127/lcd.htm On the higher end, it looks like Viper-pits is selling a color MFD. Anybody got this? http://www.viper-pits.com/IMAGEgallery2.htm I also saw that Realsimulators MFD pack with the ICP and the single USB plugin. That would be perfect for Falcon 4, but that would not be cost effective or convenient for a casual desktop setup. Any other comments? Ripcord

The master pilot sure looks cool, but I think it may not be compatible with newer sims. This I don't know. I'm pretty sure I saw a post here at SimHQ where someone was talking about this particualar mfd and for some reason I think it may be more hastle to get working with newer stuff. Try finding more info in the search function. Here's a good starter for you. I would love to find an mfd for sims too. Here are some possible solutions. http://www.simhq.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=15;t=006730

Thanks Coot, I have seen this project of Joe's and have seen this thread somewhere. I don't have the time, interest or brains to do what Joe did. I want to just buy a couple MFD's and plug those bad boys in. Other than Realsimulator (the price of that must be astounding) I don't see much out there - except maybe that MFD by viper-pits. I'd like to hear more about those.

Wasn't CH Products doing some user interest research? If they make MFDs I'm interested as well, if not, then I may have to go the way of The Joe.
There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the universe is for it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.
