Hey, hasn't someone tried to sell the Death Star on eBay yet?

Is this is a gag auction on Ebay or a really stupid scamming attempt? I noticed that the cannon was still intact too which conjures up all sorts of "interesting" everyday scenarios in my warped mind \:D So what actually does happen to Apache's once they're no longer in service? Do they end up in those huge airplane graveyards with the jets?

For the US Army, they're usually set aside for spare parts. There's a recent program worked out with Boeing where they'll refurbrish them, too.

Based upon his funny answers, Id say this was just for fun.

Only a really rich fool would take him up on it.

So, as the proverb goes:
"a fool and his money, are soon parted"

Pretty much an altruism for all Ebay dealings if youre not careful (Caveot Emptor).

Now that is priceless \:D
About that Apache on ebay. Ofcourse its a fake. Even if it was for sale it would never be sold with the nav-aids, FCR, WCS and FLIR sensors on.
They are pretty much top secret technology.
Seeing a FLIR image is one thing. See the actual FLIR-sensor in pieces to see how it works is another.

The one thing y'all are forgetting is that for every hour you fly the aircraft, you're going to be spending 4-6 hours maintaining it on the ground.

Not to mention the costs of keeping it maintained... And HELLFIREs are not cheap gizmos. \:D

Reminds me of the Mig29 that actually was for sale on Ebay a few years ago. Only problem was getting it back from Russia and the small hassle of $24,000.000.... \:\)

I have a control stick handle for a MiG29/Su27, does that count?
Was a whole less than the whole aircraft.

I once had a chance to get me a F-5 stick. The only thing standing between me and it was a missing saw or a screwdriver
It was while I was serving in the airforce under ground-equipment. I was in a couple of shelters where some old F-5 chassis were stored. There were'nt much left except the chassis, stick and some instruments. Worst part is that when I told the people I worked for about it they said I could just take it, but I did'nt have time to go back and then forgot about it.

Too bad Shadow...

Would have made a nice show piece next to the old computer system.

I collect things like that. Some F16, but mostly WW2 fighters.
