The below illustrates the setup screens when configuring TeamSpeak2 for multiplayer-multi-channel comms. What this does, is allows for one key/mouse click for local channel only comms and the other key/mouse click for broadcasting across all flight channels for LB2 on TS2 at Magnum's server. This gives the ability to talk with your CPG and wingmen from your flight on one channel, and to all the other flights with the other channel. Voice separation makes it much clearer when in combat.

From the picture below, starting from the top left, you can see the LB2 parent channel setup with its four sub-channels labeled FLIGHT1, FLIGHT2, FLIGHT3 and FLIGHT4. This can only be setup by a registered user with channel permissions.

The center top picture you can see the SETTINGS/KEY SETTINGS menu. This is where you program your TS2 configuration to allow switching to and communication on each channel. Edit yours accordingly, and note that the channel names in TS2 must match exactly what you put into this mapping menu.
- Also, the broadcast is accomplished by setting up a LB2 unused key (*) to "whisper" to all four flight channels.
- The local channel that Im currently in is set to whatever I chose in the SETTINGS/SOUND-INPUT-OUTPUT-SETTINGS "voice send method" menu. For me, my primary (local channel) comms is done with the middle mouse button. This is shown on the upper right picture.
- You will note that I have a key set up to talk specifically to another player (COLKLINK) in this example using the (NUM/) key. This is whispering to just him, independant of what channel Im currently in. I advise this for your Pilot/CPG situation if you are in a flight channel with other wingmen.
- Channel switching while in game can also be done with the CNTL-SHFT-(`, 1, 2, 3, 4) key combinations. These work good for both LB2 and Falcon4/AF.

Once youve made your whisper and channel changing assignments, you save them to the disk by EXPORT (write) menu as shown in the bottom right picture. WHen you want to load them or another, you IMPORT (read) them.

The last two pictures on the bottom middle and left are the SETTINGS/OPTIONS menus that you might want to make changes to. The two examples shown have to do with setting the CPU priority high for TS2 and limiting the bandwidth used to some value that works for your connectivity limitations. For dialup users, Id limit it to 6 or 7 KBS, while for broadband I set mine to 15kbs. Note that the channels and subchannels have CODECs that the admin chooses. Keep these below the limit value and things will work out.

This isnt everything that you need to know about TS2 for multiplayer, but its a darn good start. I recommend everyone set up similarily so that they dont have to change things every time they come to play LB2 at Mags.

Thanks for the explanation. Was a few functions I was unsure of but now I know.
How do you intend we use the channels?
Up to 4 players in one flight channel, set one PTT-button and a whisper-button to all flight channels?

Is there any router configuration that needs to be done with TS?

the 8908 is the port that has to be open for TS2 in this case. Its up to the server to pick the port they want to use.

Is it possible to set up TS2 so you can auto voice activate for one channel, but push to talk for another? While being able to hear both?

What I'm thinking is similar to what has been outlined above. Whenever either crew member talks, the other hears it. But if the PTT button is depressed, the transmission goes to the wider channel AND the other Crew Member.

Ideally, this would be used when the crew must communicate with each other, but also evesdrop on the net traffic.

Is this doable?
