I remember that happening months ago and posted on that fact or told people during a multiplayer session. But no one else could verify this for me. I was the only one. It must be something in the service packs that's changing the way joystick axis (particularly throttles) are being dealt with by Windows. I don't remember having problems with other Janes titles before the Service Pack, but I can't rule it out.

Tried changing to an older (or newer) driver for the X52?
Multiple key presses on the stick is definately keyboard-related. Try changing to a different keyboard, preferably a PS/2.

I'll try installing my X45 drivers to my notebook and seeing what happens with my LB2 install when I hook that up.

There are no other X52 drivers, and I've heard this happening with other sticks/throttles in LB2. It has nothing to do with the keyboard, since it still happens even when it's uninstalled. It also happens if the X52 is uninstalled and I just use the keyboard. The throttle position certainly has an effect, but is not the direct cause. So there you go. The problem is somewhere in how LB2 talks to recent SP's of Windows XP concerning inputs.

Pheonix, keep using it for a few days. Everytime I think I've fixed it it comes back.

Right now I have to put bands on one of the rotoraries and put an unused key command on one of the bands. When the problem starts, I can usually fix it by switching that key on constantly. And if alt/shift/ctrl seems to be stuck, I just have to press each of those keys on my keyboard until it goes away.

I also have an odd problem reoccuring of being into about a half hour mission, my wingman's dead, and I get a CTD when engaging air targets.

A trick I use, and I know this works for the X-45 but not sure about the X-52, is to change the default profile the stick has on Windows Startup/Joystick Plug-in by placing this in the Start > Run line:

prfact -v-f"C:\Program Files\Saitek\Software\PROFILENAME.DAT" -D
(Change PROFILENAME.DAT to your desired profile name)

When I have the fast key issue, I disconnect the flight stick while the game is open, type in the needed information which is usually IP numbers, and when done typing, just plug the stick back in.

To change the stick back to default, open the profile editor, immediately click "Save As" name it "default" and then use this in the "Start > Run" line:

prfact -v-f"C:\Program Files\Saitek\Software\default.dat" -D

Sometimes doing this makes the fast key situation go away completely, and sometimes it doesn't. From speaking with others, it seems the faster the system then the more prone you are to have the fast key situation.
