Nice job, guys...absolutely the best weather graphics of any combat flight sim I've ever flown. The sounds are incredible, too.

And the CTDs appear to have disappeared for good...at least on my rig, anyway. Just tonight I enjoyed 2-1/2 hours of SOLID flying without a single issue...the most I've been able to do non-stop since the old BDG 0.99 version.

2.04 is definitely a winner...I'm glad I stuck with it!

It has been a real slog as some of the issues have been as hard to catch as to solve...

Buddye and Wolfram have worked miracles on the CTDs in particular.

I can honestly say that this sim should now be reviewed again is its just not the same product. I loved it when it was released but the problems were annoying.
But now though, just brilliant!!!

Thanks for the comments, to me 2.04 is like a new game rather than like a simple patch but of course I am rather close to the fire. A new review would ne nice.

Very nice to receive some customer Recognition. It is much appreciated for taking the time to say the words.

Ive had a blast since the new patch. Some great dogfights and some realistic damage modeling. I hit one spitfire today with repeated mg and cannon fire and he just exploded. Ive had a couple of aircraft do that now and I love the effect. Damaged aircraft seem to fly more realistic to me, and the spin out and ground slams appear more real. Very nice. I love the tracers effect too. Your right Buddye1, its a new sim now.

I absolutely love BOB2 now, it has drawn me in more than ever before. Still some AI issues like non-firing Stuka and Bf110 rear gunners but generally very much improvement over 2.03 all around. Hopefully more people get attracted now to this terrific, immersive sim

Non firing Stukas? Crikey I hate to admit it but on more than one occasion I've been the laugh of the mess after one of these bleeders has stuck to my arse blazing away like there was no tomorrow!

First, have your set the Ju87 and 110 to hero (if you are talking IA)?

Second, I could make the AI rear gunner so aggressive and shoot so straight that everyone would hate it as the AI would kill every time the enemy came into range. The key here is to reach a fine balance of hitting or missing based on historial averages.

We thought we had done this. You are saying the rear gunners need to cause more damage? Based on what historical data?

I wouldn't say they need to cause more damage as such.

What I've noticed in the RAF campaign, is that most rear gunners only seem to fire at you on the first pass. This is especially noticable when the AI sends it's lone Do-17 recon flights over.

It's far less noticable when the bombers are in formation (in fact the interlocking fields of fire from a bomber fomration can be pretty nasty if you let yourself get caught behind them!). I can't say anything about the Bf-110 rear gunners since I've never managed to get close enough to one to give him the opportunity!!
