The prelude to the battle over, the Luftwaffe now launched major raids against RAF airfields and infrastructure. In the mid afternoon, 88 Do17s of KG3 with 120 Messerschmitt escorts approached Canterbury. Half the raiders turned north to raid Eastchurch (which was in fact not a Fighter Command airfield).

German morale was sky high at this stage of the Battle and claims were grossly exaggerated. In this case, no less than 30 of the 36 attacking British Fighters were claimed shot down.

This would change as the weeks wore on and losses mounted. The RAF would not be worn down in a few short days.

Superb! Why don't you post a few of your great shots in the screenshots forum to enlighten the unaware crowd? Cheers, Ursus

This is the heart and soul of BOB, the attention to historical detail, after action reports, and to be able to put all of the aircraft in the air at once. I setup a 1000+ aircraft raid the other day. It was staggering. You really become attached to your country in the campaign when you see the numbers and get used to what a good day feels like, an average day, and a really bad day.

The other day I was counting aircraft to make sure everyone came out alive in one piece. When I noticed a missing 109, I started looking behind for smoke or something. I basically had a very tough time leaving the area. It is experiences like these that I am most thankful to BOB/2 for and I just hope many experience similar things when they get the game.

Scott.

I have to say it. The terrain looks superb. the desaturated colours look great much better than the original which was a little bright. The models are also looking great.
Looking forward to getting my hands on this.

Well done all involved \:\)

From the hills rebounding
Let this war cry sounding
Summon all at Cambria's call
The mighty force surrounding

Men of Harlech onto glory
This shall ever be your story
Keep these fighting words before ye
Welshmen never yield

Hello matey, saw the bad news on your PC. Bummer \:\(

Yep, we wound the colour saturation right down. Looks muuch better now. The real world is not so bright, in truth.
